I noticed there was written min RM 50K on the paper that I signed up for this 4.5% FD,
that time I tried to taka a picture but AM Bank staff was not allowed and he wrote for me
instead like below:

50 - 200k  ----> 3.65%
200 - 500K ----> 3.95%
500 ---> 1 Million ----> 4.03%

Min is RM 50K to place this RM 4.5% FD, earmark RM 10K is required.
Better to rentas so special interest rate can effective on the same day.

Thanks. tongue.gif

I got a shock. sweat.gif  I quick quick called to AM bank.

You are right.
AM Bank staff said, 4.5% 11 months is advance profit.
Whoever has signed-up for this 4.5% 11 months will get advance profit. Very good deal  thumbup.gif
Thank you for reminding us.  thumbup.gif  notworthy.gif
Bro Magic,

Fund has to deposit into AM Bank account before 31 March 2023.
Everything is final after 31 March 2023.
3rd April cannot adjust anything already.
*
Deposit before 31 March, or 31 March itself also can?

This Juwai IQI economist is predicting no hikes for next 2 rounds. It's an international Real Estate technology group. But I have never heard of them.

Sometimes they might stupid ahwhile..i thought lastime someone posted ambank directly withdawal on the FD placement day of FD-can't, but need wait after 1 Day?
*
I believe they were referring to the straight FD promotion of 4.3% for 12 months, not this Bundled FD & CASA product. For the straight FD, AmBank required an additional amount of RM10k to be in CASA. And it is this RM10k that can be withdrawn on Day 2, tho some have managed to withdraw it around midnight on Day 1! laugh.gif

Just placed one 12m 4.3% fd at rhb. Initially wanted to transfer money from rhb to bank islam for the 12m 4.25% promo but the counter girl told me rhb got 12m at 4.3% but requires approval. I had about rm140k in my smartsaver account with about rm100k fresh fund n a rm50k efd at the bank, I told her I'll deposit rm130k n will transfer another rm60k at the month end if the rate got approved n no other bank has better rate then. The application got approved after waiting for more than 1.5 hours at the bank. She told me the application is normally for premier member but I don't have to become premier member if I prefer not to when I meet the criteria. I told her ambank got bundle fd promo at better rate (4.35%) that also requires approval n comes with monthly interest payout but I prefer not to deposit much more than the pidm insured amount at smaller banks at the moment.. btw the branch is at satok kuching.

i am only able to get 4.15% for 12 months at KL branch today.....the rate had been reduced since 4.3%.
(200k fd + rm100 for affin invikta account opening).

also, uob no stash 5% thingy as i been told. now offer 4.0% for 12 months. (KL)

rhb 4.3% for premier account no more. do not know what is offering as i do not like the bank ticketing system. (ask to download QMS apps)

May I know where is the info that UOB no 5% Stash from? Only this morning I received an SMS from UOB mentioning that offer, valid until 30 April. They have been sending SMS regularly on this offer. hmm.gif

Some of us made FD placements with Citibank 5+ months ago, when they offered 6 month FD @ 4.8% to pump up their deposit base, just before Citi Retail Banking was sold to UOB.

Just wondering if UOB is offering any special FD rates to retain these deposits upon maturity? Otherwise, likely that those deposits will migrate to other banks biggrin.gif

Best 3 month is MBSB CASA 30 FD70 effective rate 4.10%
Did you open the Stash account for temporary parking till end April 23, 5% not bad.

Looks like no news to retain our FD, mine due 20.4.23
going to put in MBSB 3 months then go ganjaran sspni just nice timing.

i plan to rentas 500k x2 to MBSB, 3 months later wanna come out hopefully can rentas out easily within 1 day

Re: Stash
Yes, I did. But found out too late, so just earn for 20 days.

I received general e-mails from UOB informing that Citigold migrants will be given privilege banking status in UOB. Nothing on special FD rates. UOB is rarely hard-up for funds.

Will get ready to move funds out then.

FYI, it was mentioned earlier that Alliance has new to bank FD offer for Privilege customers, can't remember if 3 months or 6 months, the rate is 4.3%.

Any other banks acquiring new "privilege" customers with good rates?

Got in touch with the Citi RM this morning. He's now under UOB.

Confirmed that UOB is not offering any extra special rates to retain our deposits sad.gif

Withdrawal of Citi FD can be done at any ex-Citi branches, but not at UOB Branches.

What are the options in your mind on moving the fund? I am exploring too.
*
Not many exciting options are there? hmm.gif

Don't think I'm eligible for Alliance Bank 4.3% for 6 months for new to bank, since I already placed once under last year's campaign. Unless my record has been wiped clean after 6 months lol.

Maybe join RHB Premier Banking: 4.15% for 3 months + 4.3% for 12 months (if the branch is willing and able to obtain HQ approval). Put equally in short and longer term, since there is so much uncertainty about whether there will be any more rate hikes at the next few BNM policy meetings.

Will consider 15-24 months as well, but have to find out which banks are doing.

I have quite a sizeable sum. Want to place in FD for no less than 12 months. Which bank offers the best FD interest rate now?
*
Can visit the banks and try to nego for better rate.

Bank Rakyat was giving the highest long term rate end of last year. Wonder if it is still open to negotiations?

(1) Alliance Bank FD Promo For Normal Customers
4.3% for 6 months. No monthly interest.
Min RM 1K, max RM 100K

Condition: Need to open Save Plus saving account and deposit RM 10K. Can withdraw this RM 10K the next day.

[attachmentid=11465575]
(2) Alliance Bank FD Promo For Privilege Customers
Choose only either (A) or (B). Cannot choose both (A) and (B) if you have more than RM 1 Million.
No monthly interest

(A) 4.5% for 6 months. Min and max RM 1 Million
(B) 4.3% for 6 months. Min RM 1000, max RM 300K

Can open Joint Primary & Secondary FD and saving account respectively.
This means you can put 2 million by opening 2 Joint FD and saving accounts, just to arrange the sequence of Primary and Secondary account holders.

Condition: Need to open Save Plus saving account and deposit RM 10K. Can withdraw this RM 10K the next day.

Special reminder: Better to Rentas fund to Alliance saving account, because this FD promo need 2-3 working days to clear cheque.

[attachmentid=11465577]

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Additional Alliance Bank FD Promo:

(1) 3 Months: 3.3%
(2) 6 Months: 3.9%
(3) 12 Months: 4.15% ---> FD Gold can get monthly interest
*
Seems the 4.3% is for new Alliance customers as well, from the snapshot?

...If you are existing Alliance customer, then can join Privilege like below:

(2) Alliance Bank FD Promo For Privilege Customers
Choose only either (A) or (B). Cannot choose both (A) and (B) if you have more than RM 1 Million.
No monthly interest

(A) 4.5% for 6 months. Min and max RM 1 Million
(B) 4.3% for 6 months. Min RM 1000, max RM 300K

[attachmentid=11465597]

Both Normal & Privilege also need to open Save Plus saving account and earmark RM 10K for one day.

After join Privilege, we cannot take the Normal customer FD promo.

We can join Normal first, wait for one month later or wait until the beginning of the month, then join Privilege.
This mean we can upgrade, but cannot downgrade.
*
Your last 2 para was just confirmed by my RM.

I joined privilege last year for FD promo, and closed accounts in November after maturity. MY RM said Privilege status remains in the system, hence not eligible for Normal either mad.gif biggrin.gif
