B16A Halfcuts for EG is around 5 - 6.5k. Ek halfcuts are a little more expensive. Labour might cost around 1.3k - 1.7k and this does not include changing worn parts like timing belt, air-con belt etc. So total it might cost 9k - 11k estimate, for a full transplant.

EK9 is Type R and is rare to find also. If you are buying EK with B16A, I suggest you get one already with B16A instead of going through all the hassle to transplant one.

ehm... i heard they say buy eg b16a (obd1) , some ek b16a(obd2)

Not sure, but confirm EG B16A are obd1. I know B16B is obd2.

This you have to ask previous owner. Funny that if he buy EG B16A cause mounting is different what. I rather get EK B16A halfcut cause plug and play.

b16b is definately obd2

some mehanic say some ek b16a are obd1 or 2.
depends wo.. dunno how to check ahah

Maybe older gen EK with b16a has obd1.

You have to remove the ROM to see i guess. But honestly I also not sure.

Have to ask the experts here. I don't know because I'm using obd1 and don't have to worry about it.

so the local civic, is actually EJ 4 door? civic, not call EK? i mean the 6th generation ?

or those 6th generation civic that fitted wif D series engine called EJ, but those fitted with B series call EK? confusing.. hehehe..

Local civic only called EJ. Imported models are EK.

But as a whole, we refer to the 6th generation as EK.

USDM Civic Coupe also have the EJ codes too namely EJ1/EJ2 for 1.5/1.6 models

u know LDP, the wan got giant there the fly over..

got 2 lanes wan ma, so after a tiring day of work, drove back on the slow lane.. i saw 1 guy sleeping on the left of the lane... yes 1 guy on the fly over bridge lying down.. i jst had a glance.. but if u were to say i m blur.. my gf also saw the same thing.. i thought i was blur n mistaken it for a human, but till my gf sed "WAT THE" ok, i m definately not seeing things..

is tat guy sleeping or kena knock out i dunno, cos i see no blood.. i couldnt cos at the back of me got on coming cars..

zomg.. wat is tat really?.. cos from wat i saw, its a guys head with hair, shoulders , wearing a blue greenish shirt.... my gf also gave the same description..
