These two days faced a few times of disconnection when I'm streaming stuff for hours continuously. If it's still happening later, I will call to reset my port. Not sure what happens.

QUOTE(calvinlaw510 @ Jan 8 2017, 04:47 AM)
No issue on my side, streaming smoothly on netflix, youtube, and fb live/video
*
It's just disconnection, streaming was smooth. First time happening though since April 2014. Usually it will only disconnect when I manually disconnect it.

QUOTE(kengyan @ Jan 8 2017, 10:59 AM)
Good luck with this, the most is you get extra few hours of stable connection, then back to square 1. Initially I thought was my line issues(from Screamyx) but now even with Unifi, I still got some disconnections every now and then. Really "potong stim" especially doing direct download from certain file servers, worst if 95% complete.
I don't really bother on this, as if I were to reset the port, the most is the time for this rubbish will be changed to another time. Just take note on the time you hit with this and avoid this time. This is what I'm doing.
*
Err... I never had this issue since I first used UniFi in April 2014, stable all the way and no disconnection unless I manually disconnect it. Only these two days not sure what happened, let's see for today.
I'm very happy with UniFi by the way. smile.gif

QUOTE(Jjuggler @ Jan 8 2017, 12:54 PM)
I have no problem streaming to youtube. I tried to stream 4k videos and it never buffers.
*
I have no issue with streaming, smooth all the way just that it suddenly disconnects. Not sure why. Will monitor today and if it still happens (touch wood), I will call TM.

Have you check if it's the router that's playing you? I have this issue previously and it was the router's fault.
*
I'm using Huawei WS880 and "Internet" wording disappears on the router.. I had to restart my BTU, then it works again. Not sure how to diagnose. rclxub.gif

Best way to diagnose is you've got an extra router that you can check with.
*
I do have but it has been 16H since it is up, let's see if it sustains...

can achieve 47 mbps only right ?
why not 50mbps

Just like 28M club for Advance 30. Advance50 is 47/48M Club. It's normal, few already shared before.

I'm on 129 UNIFI 5MB, and only received calls from maxis and not unifi themselves on promotion.. quite interested in the 30mb promotion but wanna get the offer price, what should i do
*
Just walk in to any nearest TM Point to do the upgrade. The promo has been extended to 28th Feb for RM 179 - Advance 30. You will get 50Mbps later when TM starts to roll out free upgrade in phases.

QUOTE(westlife @ Jan 9 2017, 11:54 AM)
the best value should be the customers who are on UniFi Advance 30Mbps rm229 now which they will be upgraded to UniFi Pro 100Mbps soon instead.

After speed upgrade:
Unifi Advance 100Mbps RM229 = rm2.29 per Mbps
Unifi Advance 50Mbps RM179 = rm3.58 per Mbps

*
50Mbps I supposed?

if i dont get the call = not qualified for 159 promo? tbh im more interested in 159/30 over 179/50 (after free upgrade)
*
For RM 159, you will need to wait for them to call or you can try calling 100 to check it out. It's not a standard package at least for now.

Im using 50 mbps right now. I called 100 to ask them about the free upgrade. They say its for selected customer only such as no late payment blablabla
*
These CSs are known for not having the right knowledge. Just sit down and relax, once they started doing it and you don't get it, then call and complain.

Early this year used VIP5 already feels just enough for my daily usage. Now on Advance 30, actually more than enough to mostly let my kids watching youtube simultaneously on 3 devices. I can just imagine if 100Mbps..might be overkill for me  laugh.gif

There is no such thing as "overkill". The more the better. icon_idea.gif

Don't get your hopes too high. Nanti disappointed.
Got the same experience when up from 20 - 50  biggrin.gif

Actually that's right, I wouldn't see huge leap too and I don't think I can feel it. tongue.gif

QUOTE(VeeJay @ Jan 9 2017, 05:44 PM)
Comeon gimme some motivation to get the 50M package...my SG friends are all on 1G...sigh!

or should wait for 30 to 50M free upgrade and then upgrade to next package....what do you think?
*
I go for the latter option, I'm not in rush. If you want to compare with SG, you can be prepared to lose big time. laugh.gif
Let it upgrade to 50M first then they will definitely call to upgrade later. tongue.gif

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Jan 9 2017, 05:46 PM)
Let wait another 5 years. Currently RM179 MB and soon "free" upgarde to 50MB. After 5 years, RM179 for 500MB. Lol
*
I don't think I will even use 2 years of 30Mbps, coming July will be 2 years. tongue.gif I always upgrade before contract finishes. laugh.gif

For now, 4K streaming is possible thru Netflix and KODI (limited contents).
Recommended speed for 4K streaming is 25mbps, thus 30mbps is more than enough for one tv.

50mbps though capable for two concurrent tvs.

100mbps= 4tvs  cool2.gif
*
However if the file is like 20-30GB per movie, it will take some time to buffer though. sweat.gif
