QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 07:33 PM) hmm.....i once at a situation no data, but the transaction captured and notified me after i go to location with data. i think you should report to Samsung Pay with those receipt, base on my experience reporting to Samsung Pay, the respond i got is crap, but no harm just notify/let them know. It's OK. I have already completed the powerbank contest. It's not so critical for me.

QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 07:40 PM) to me, i am more concern about capturing the transaction to notify me such transaction has gone through. But did you receive SMS for this transaction?i once encounter,at Shell station, the next day after the transaction, 2AM got another prompt of same transaction amount. which give me a shock which i thought is a fraud, luckily is a glitch, no real transaction got through for the 2nd transaction, and i earn extra Samsung reward point for nothing. Neither. But the transaction has already appeared in my e-statement. The transaction has gone through with a receipt printout. The said merchant is McD Tesco E-gate Penang. That area has bad data coverage for Celcom. This post has been edited by David83: Jul 16 2017, 07:43 PM

QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 07:46 PM) just curious why do you need to give them your original credit card number? Because the cash register asked for a 16-digits CC number input. You can provide the associating 16-digits virtual/digital CC numbers (provided you have it).

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Jul 16 2017, 07:53 PM) sampay only has last 4 digit haha, so i give the ori number instead You should have provided the last 4 digits of the associating CC number then. It's shown in Samsung Pay. This post has been edited by David83: Jul 16 2017, 07:56 PM

QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 07:54 PM) i never do provide them real number, i just tell them i don't know, it's only the last 4 digit number mention in the samsung pay, or if their machine can swipe, which i will let them scan 1 more time by right they cannot swipe 1 more time in their machine to capture card information(especially Starbuck), for swiping "real card" if they have such facility, you can report them to the bank. luckily enough, if use samsung pay at starbuck, they don't ask for my card information anymore, nor ask me to scan the Samsung Pay information. but if real card, they will swipe your card 1 more time. The cash register specially asking for 16 digits even though I tried to convince them to use the last 4-digit of the virtual CC number.

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Jul 16 2017, 08:00 PM) so what number you gave? they need full 16 digits Full 16 digits. The cashier is new to Samsung Pay. She won't allow me to exit the premise with the good if I don't provide it.

QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 08:00 PM) because you guys too honest lol, i just tell them i don't even know, then show them the app mention "Show the cashier the last 4 digit if they ask credit card number" thingy Actually I didn't bring the physical card with me. I had to dig into my e-statement to get it. LOL

QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 08:09 PM) worse case scenario, i would just ask the cashier activate the credit card terminal 1 more time with RM0.01, ask them to record from there. i never have the chance to do it =/ QUOTE(noobandroid @ Jul 16 2017, 08:09 PM) nope, its not attached, there is one normal cc terminal, so its two different ops That's why I don't really want to use MST till most the things are being sorted out. At least with NFC/Wave, I don't need to share anything.

QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 08:15 PM) this is more to merchant education/training, i doubt it will get sorted out in a short period. most of the time is i teach the cashier. so far haven't encounter the type of cashier of yours. most of them is shocked, exited and gladly accept the last 4 digital number lol~ I have no concern of educating cashier. But sometimes, the uncertainty falls on merchant cash register. Their software is asking for certain format of input.

QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 09:29 PM) i read somewhere that even the starbuck card barcode is unreadable in Samsung Pay, but using Starbuck App to scan the barcode is ok. Is the barcode is encrypted or what? This post has been edited by David83: Jul 16 2017, 09:31 PM

QUOTE(dr2k3 @ Jul 16 2017, 11:09 PM) chances are very very low, by allowing it to be used on the phone, their revenue on the card sales would drop same goes for apple pay, apple charge a sum on every transaction to bank, i don't think bank would like that. For Samsung or Google, they push wide spread adoption by even subsidizing it and/or running contests/promos/partnership. But for Apple, their business model is exclusivity and closed ecosystem; meaning you want to use my service; I need to get something from it; a slide of it. This is Apple that we're talking about; they're trying to distinguish themselves.

QUOTE(Radiant360 @ Jul 16 2017, 11:17 PM) They don't earn from the physical card because you can return to get refund. They earn from vendor or merchant. That why parking charge u additional for the services or when reload. I hate the business model for T&G. When the wide push that they're aiming in Klang Valley with the so called recent success from Bangsar pilot, they have the same mindset or business model like Apple. For instance, take the toll usage for instance, it's like forcing people to use the system.

QUOTE(AlexisStarZ @ Jul 16 2017, 11:31 PM) so as long as I turn off NFC when using Samsung pay it will auto turn on NFC right ? *I always turn off unnecessary things when not using like gps, wifi and data not all the time are turning on unless I am using I can assure you this. I don't turn on GPS/NFC/WiFi/Mobile Data/Bluetooth all the time.

QUOTE(AlexisStarZ @ Jul 16 2017, 11:46 PM) already got a habit love to turn off unnecessary things when not using else feel like wasting battery (although data and wifi use very little battery) If you put NFC button in the notification shortcuts (quick access), you'll see that the icon turns the blue once authentication completes.
