somewhere there....applies to the samsung pay reward point thing....not sure about the compaign
*
It is explicitly stated in this powerbank contest.
I read it as one of my transaction isn't captured as eligible transaction.
Dam, I missed one more to go!

Not sure if Maybank can open the limit or not, cimb allow to open until your maximum credit card limit.

I am now more scared to use physical card than Samsung pay after I open the limit 😃
*
Why so?

Anybody tried to swipe using Wave for amount above RM 250 (default limit)?
Especially with Visa Paywave.
Will that trigger for PIN input?

How to open the limit?

As far as i know..

For CIMB, RM250 (MST) and RM1k (NFC)
*
How about MST limit is lower than NFC? hmm.gif

Previously, MST triggers for signing the printout?
Now still the same? Or change to PIN input?

Is samsung pay available in 7 eleven ?
*
Doesn't matter.
You can always use Wave even if it's not compliant to Samsung Pay.

as long as any shop accept pay using credit / debit card then just put the phone nearby the merchant to proceed to payment right?
*
That is the ideal case as Samsung Pay supports both MST and NFC (Wave).

But from the experiences that Radiant360 encountered, he has higher failure rate with MST.

As for me, personally, I have higher success rate with Wave. I'll push the cashier to use Wave only.

though luck like me...

no.....unless you got the ball to flash it back to Malaysia ROM in the process risking to brick if not tripped the knox counter which could prevent you from using Samsung Pay even if you successfully flash back to Malaysia ROM
*
What is the KNOX counter and its function for?
Does it tie to some hardware security/encryption engine?

Is every Giant supermarket accepting Samsung Pay? Did u ever try in Tesco  hmm.gif
I just registered my debit card with Samsung Pay, any setting when payment made (e.g. mobile data, NFC, etc) ? Do i need to make any setting with my debit card account also?
*
Giant and Tesco are using CIMB terminal which has Wave/NFC capability.
The terminal is not Samsung Pay compliant yet.
You can use Samsung Pay to pay at both hypermarket using Wave.

Once entered your PIN or authenticated using FP upon launching/triggering Samsung Pay for payment, the apps will turn both NFC/MST to try to complete the transaction within 30 sec. Once elapsed and you're not able to complete, repeat the process again.

BHP wave bia Samsung pay only recognise Mastercard. Some BHP disable the wave function even Mastercard is used. Success BHP wave station at OUG and Kuchai Lama. Failed Old Klang Road towards PJ near Citizen condo.

Aeon Big wave only recognise Visa card. If Samsung Pay used with Masrercard, it will not recognise.

McDonald wave is most versatile accept both Master and Visa Samsung pay.
*
Do you have any idea what terminal BHP uses?

As far as I know, Aeon Big and McD are using MBB terminals.

yea that what I like Samsung Pay
so both MST and NFC merchant should be all merchant right, lol
unlike Apple and Android Pay, as well as CIMB or Maybank pay only use Wave only if not mistaken
*
This is the clear advantage of Samsung Pay by increasing coverage and compatibility with both NFC and MST.
But, so how, merchant terminal/cash register may have compatibility issue; it may ask more input: PIN, signature, physical card numbers and etc.

QUOTE(Radiant360 @ Jul 16 2017, 07:02 PM)
The special thing about Samsung pay even without wave it can use as a card using MST ( magnetic secure transmission) as a physical credit card but on some vendor Samsung pay fail to work on their machine I suspect could be like david said selected bank have not update their system to accept tokenization.

On one specify vendor even successful using MST the machine still ask for my cvv

Usually nfc is automatic on.
*
IMHO, Samsung Pay apps will trigger both NFC and MSC on at the same time.
My successful attempt with MST is at Croc's.
They're using Maybank terminal.

yea
btw why require to turn on data when using Samsung pay, I don't get it rclxub.gif
what if I go to a mall that have low signal or running slow data hmm.gif
*
Turn on data/WiFi is for Samsung Pay to receive notification (capture the transaction), if you're aiming to join any contest from Samsung Pay.
If you're not intended to receive notification nor joining the contest, this action is not required.

actually you don't need turn on data, but there  is a limit on how many transaction it would approved.

if i am not mistaken 5 if not 10.

it's ok during low or no signal, but don't purposely turn off data smile.gif
*
I have one transaction not captured by Samsung Pay app.
I think I did turn on the data but perhaps that area is out of coverage with speed lesser than E.
