QUOTE(prophetjul @ Feb 23 2017, 08:43 AM) CUP Hi bro,... that's right,... without tax, etc, etc,... let me summarize below :-PROFIT FROM OPS UP 9%. That's nice. But revaluation from some investment is down. http://www.countplus.com.au/Shareholder-Ce...X-Announcements All figures and percentages are as compared against the previous corr period, pcp, ie for period July to December, 2016. 1) Profit from Operations before Tax: $4.2m (up 9%) 2) Minus Fair Value Loss on our investment in Class Limited : $1.6m (after tax) 3) Minus Non-Cash Impairment Expense for an accounting subsidiary, TFS : $780,000 4) Minus Provision for the review and remediation program for the subsidiary, TFS : $1.1m 5) Consolidated Profit from Operations before Tax : $2.9m (down 73%) 6) Net Profit after Tax : $2.1m (down 67%) Well,... we can hope that the impairment expenses and review provisions will not materialise by such a big amount later,... |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Feb 23 2017, 12:34 PM) Countplus Ltd holds a few percentages of stake in the software co called Class Ltd., which is also a PLC. Last yr, the revaluation was good, hence there was a gain towards the profitability of CUP. But for 1H2017 results, the share value has dropped, hence, a loss compared to the acquisition price earlier to buy the shares in Class Ltd..CUP has disposed a number of shares and gotten back $3m in February this year.. |

I read the reasons for the weakening of the AUD is because of the impending hike in the Feds rate on March 15th... and then : The Aussie was also pressured by weak commodity prices with aluminium, oil and gold all falling.
