QUOTE(metalslug @ Dec 7 2016, 08:26 AM) 30mbps existing user need to register to get free upgrade or no need register, just wait for free upgrade in 2017? register in the sense of acknowledging the upgrade, when the turn came for the user. which mean we will receive sms/call, so the upgrade is on under our discretion, and yes we can even deny the upgrade, but who it the right mind will do it, unless the upgraded speed are really unstable causing disconnection (physical limit)

Received an email a few days ago asking me to look out for "Thank You Surprises". So I guess this should be the surprise they are talking about. Looking forwards to enjoy me 100M then.

QUOTE(Velocity @ Dec 7 2016, 08:32 AM) That not free. That how TM cheat people Previous I was on rm149 on 5mbps then my plan contract over. Their 3rd party agents keep calling offer upgrade. Then they offer rm199 discount rm20 for 30mbps so rm179 exclude gst. They didn't tell us that once you upgrade you will be bind my 2 years contract and the agents keep lying say TM will increase price and this offer limited time. Now rm179 is offer to new users as well previously it's an upgrade offer. If u call TM they tell you no such offer but they can but they can put a note to inform the marketing agents to call you. You can only get this so called upgrade through their 3rd party agents. If in 2017 I do not get the upgrade I'll make a big fuss out of this I am paying 169 for 10 Unifi now...last time they called and say upgrade to 30 Unifi for extra 10 bucks but I rejected...I guess have to wait for TMnet email and SMS for the free upgrade

You also need to apply for the damned upgrade. Existing current customers will get the upgrade from January 2017. https://www.tm.com.my/speedupgrade/Pages/as...Website_Eng.pdfUnder contract with Special Project. Else, migrating all subscriber line to fiber-optic, which need to involve really high cost. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G.fast

QUOTE(graphidz @ Dec 7 2016, 08:55 AM) ah then i guess anywhere with unifi then of course can handle 100mbps not really, 100mbps unifi are pretty much unsupported for high-rise, unless GPON last-mile were used. Even for 50mbps, the technician need to do the testing first, if it failed, customer will be registered to unifi30 advance instead. So because of this, not all unifi30 advance user will be free upgrade to 50mbps, this is due to physical limitation.
