Didn't the new budget ask TM to do this? I think every TM subscriber will get free upgrade. If not, they are going against Najib's orders.

also, now subscribing to vip20. what will the speed of the new upgrade? unless i'm screwed over by TM (which no one is surprised at this point) This post has been edited by graphidz: Dec 7 2016, 07:23 AM |

Looks like the speed upgrade will only happen from April 2017 onwards https://www.tm.com.my/speedupgrade/Pages/as...peedUpgrade.pdf
-edit- Those under contract is not eligible as well... You also need to apply for the damned upgrade. Existing current customers will get the upgrade from January 2017. https://www.tm.com.my/speedupgrade/Pages/as...Website_Eng.pdf This post has been edited by isr25: Dec 7 2016, 07:23 AM |

from what i heard, the upgrade happens in backend upgrade and is on best effort basis.
meaning, after u got upgraded to 100mbps, if the area cannot support 100mbps, you're still stucked at 50mbps or any speed serving your area. same goes to congested areas. after upgraded to 50mbps, but the area still congested with average speed of 20mbps+, you're stucked with that. the speed and actual experience is NOT GUARANTEED. they only guarantee upgrade from their side, not premise side. |
