I read somewhere sometime ago that some VAIOs have a certain software which enables the user to watch DVDs or listen to music WITHOUT even booting Windows up... just by powering on the lappie.

Does anyone know which software this is and whether its available in all VAIOs distributed in Msia!?

Hey guys... our thread too quiet.... And seems like VAIO got bad reputation in KL coz of some irresponsible sales in TS....

vaio doesnt make a bad reputation just because of some idiot salesman in TS. the consumer also made a stupid mistake arguing with the salesman instead of seeing the manager straight away. afaik, he got the display set of vaio. i blame his ignorance.

ya, frankly for me so far i very happy for my VAIO, works perfectly for me. So anyone of ppl out there wanna get VAIO then should beware of those idiot salesman and check carefully when the time get the VAIO.

I check my VAIO for almost 1 hour ( i also ask them burn a copy of recovery DVD for me front of me, this way can make sure the writer and the recovery utility is works fine also, it's important!) jux to make sure everything works no problems, although the sales seems like got bit not happy wif me, but who care? I pay the $$ of coz i need check through make sure what i get is rili the one i looking for.

So guys, dun let some idiot salesman just keep thinkin to earn fast $$ influence you, make your own decision.

Think all the forumers wont go to TS sony store oredi, haha..

Count me in, i'm a PCG-V505GP Vaio User (The notebook model sounds old, but still consider VAIO right?)

my 1st laptop was sz25, on half year ago. i have purchased second unit sz44 in valentine day.. but happen was bad service. not only irresponsible salesman in TS but also same applied to the manager. He deny to giv me any apologize but finally he was forced to write an explain letter... u know what this means..? u r not there, there for many thing u r not clear... so jz dont simply blame ignorance on ppl, jz bcos u r using vaio... ok..?

haha..actually..is not vaio get bad reputation... is only a small part sales stuffs... in TS. I heard that KLCC staff was better... and nicer... vaio is a good laptop....especially sz series... please dont feel so on vaio laptop... cos is nothing wrong with the vaio...

just this year, i bought a compaw v3125au,sold it for a FE38 and i actually bought two FE38 and just recently i bought SZ48. w00t i can show off just like you =D

Its not bout intellectual, if the shop do not co-operate then sure alot problem arise.. Thats what happen to him and he's doin good, gettin what he should get. I think he is very smart to fight for his right.

Btw how you know he's doin Stupid Mistake while you not there as you mention above? How you know that he's not straight away go meet the manager? Or maybe he's kind and dont want make the matter worse and try to co-operate with the sales person and try the lappy, double check it 1st? After that the silly problem arise.. (on his friend post)

guess wat ezinger, ppl buy vaio bcoz of its stylish and its spec...and there are no vaio's user will show off their laptop..man... coz there is make no sense... u r thinking too much..

FIRST of all if your laptop is faulty, the salesman or the manager isnt a technician. i remebered reading the topic about the TS claiming for a refund which he didnt get and pathetically had to wait. you are suppose to send your lappy to a service centre. not least, you need to be smart dealing with idiots as well :]

dude, if u live nearby where i am, i would be so glad to help you out if you need any. my vaio's are installed with a temperature monitor software. i think you should have it too.
