A shout out to fellow road bike enthusiasts! nice to see fellow riders in this forum. Any of you follow a particular professional team? Personally a big fan of leopard trek, shame they are going to change their major sponsors next year....

perhaps u need to meet the seller for bike fitting.
get on to the bike and ride for a while...hold on the drop bar (flat, brake lever & curl part) to ensure perfect comfort. Seating posture must be right and ur back should not be painful. I wud suggest u to view some videos from youtube prior to test tis bike.

cardio / workout, u need to ride longer distance say 50KM / session

hi to all sifus,
I'm very new to the world of bicycle, looking for mtb that's going to use for short distance journey.
budget is around rm500 (nego)
Saw one white Raleigh in the shop just now. but couldn't rmb which model after searching raleigh's web. it's under Trail category and was quoted for rm420.What i'm sure is, it's not Rialto model as it uses revo-shift.

I'm quite into the design and the touch of the bike but not sure how's Raleigh's quality. any other intro for a newcomer/beginner?

my location: kota damansara (any intro on the reasonable priced bike shop?)

p/s: lady rider. I've a pair of rather short legs blush.gif

Try exitway brand or XDs.... they are value for money bikes for the entry level range...and most importantly with decent quality build!

Shorter legs are okay... but if you are short person(less than 5ft 2in)... buy a smaller size bike! Sadly, most cheap bikes only offer "one size that fits all".

However, Slightly expensive bikes offer sizes from XS,S,M,L and such!

I wanted to get a road bike but never tried on one before.

Do Road Bikes ride different than MTB? I mean different in terms of balancing and handling and comfortness.

yup...roadbike in general faster than MTB...but only on good paved road! While MTB has the flexibility to excel on off road or narrow and twisty trail or park trail or pavements!

I got both bikes...personally if i am not sure about the condition of the place I'll be riding.. I'll take the MTB first!

For a newbie, an MTB will suit many..as the riding position more "Upright". As for road bike, you need to bend slightly and it may take some practice to get use to that position!

and lastly, in term of comfort....the MTB usually more comfort than road bike!
