I use topeak pump with Co2 blaster only.Helps when you really need to fast pump and continue with your ride.

This depends from person to person actually. My main reasons for gloves is not for the tumble but:
- padded palms sort of helps with the vibrations
- padded palms helps too when I lean forwards for an extended time, especially when with a MTB I don't get as many options for hand positions as on a road bike
- MTB grips can be quite the uncomfortable on the palms of your hands for extended rides
- the back of the glove is useful as a nose wipe (yucks) when you're cycling tongue.gif
dropped the little bugger once at a bus stop when I was helping a buddy pump his tire. good thing we managed to find it. but watch out for petrol station pumps though. not all bike tires r designed to take that sort of fast inflation from those pumps
yeah. heard about this one. I got mine with the straps before I was told about this, but so far still lucky.
You can always carbonize it yourself by sticking on carbon fiber vinyl stickers yourself smile.gif

sticking carbon sticker doesn't reduce weight.but adds more

saw it earlier.. but, criterium... very sked of those banzai fellas all squeezing into the first turn 1 then massive pile up...

won't happen though cause SIC is 16 meters wide... and no real tight corners considered for cyclist... turn 4 and 9 could be the group splitters as there is a considerable incline there that you can't see on tele...

this one right?
http://www.sepangcircuit.com/story/sepang-...-bikeathon-2011
that problem i think is more towards presta valves as presta valve won't pump with the adapter as there is no pressure to engage the pump to start... the only way is to press the flat tyre mode to force the pump to start and the first couple of pumps are very strong and lengthy... very easy to over-inflate if you are already very near your target pressure... some pump reaction is also kinda slow.. so will over-inflate by 10 or so psi and then let the air out...

schrader valves seems to work automatically without engaging the flat tyre mode... and old style analog pumps and has no issues...

nah... no interest in the skinning service... dun wanna be cultivating the next generation of ah bengs in malaysia.. we already have enough of them in cars... now bikes... wat u want me to turn to next for my hobby... roller skates is it...

But it's good experience cycling on track.Really burst the flames in your mind. http://malaysiangp.com.my/node/2033

Is there any maintenance needed for the bike? I usually just clean off the debris by spraying water on my bike...

If you are not using clip-on shoe, shud you step the pedal on your heels or your fore foot?

Saw few sexy full carbon yesterday
*
forefoot is good and more efficient than heeling. And today, 7 riders out of 65 riders met with an accident.

Yesterday cycled all the way from Melawati to Cheras MKL Midnight Challenge with Anuar Manan.Damn our cruising speed was 54km/h..Even the heavy traffic can still cycle that fast. But yeah his bike is awesome.very light. And the SRAM Red looks cool too.

Talking about Wheelsets...I myself using Fulcrum Racing Zero.My Friends recommended to Get Campy Shamal Ultra instead of Fulcrum, but I had to get Fulcrum due to it's CUSB (Ceramic Ultra Sealed Bearings). It's also lighter by 40 grams compared to Shamal, but Shamal looks perfect if you want the extra thick spokes for the looks.

the detonators have bead to bead puncture protection strip... should be quite OK as i've been using their tyres for quite some time.. how did your one get puncture? from sharp objects?

if you don't limit yourself to dual compound tyres... there are a lot to try out there... panaracer is not bad for 26" road slicks...
isn't zero spokes already quite thick... in fact i feel that zeros are a bit too stiff for me liking... it transmits all the shocks up to the frame...

shamal currently also has their USB bearings fitted... should in fact be quite the same as racing zeros except for the price...

you are now running R0 with campy freehub?
*
yep.Had to fit in Freehub in order to use Shimano's groupset. But on flat surface, this is surely the best wheelset for low profile and budget buyer

Hey folks.

Good to see the thread so alive and active. Had a busy weekend, lots of cycling and fun.

First off, I joined the Yellow Ride on Saturday in support of the Tour de Langkawi. My first big group ride, held in Bandar Tun Razak, circling around Cheras, bout 20km. Sure it was a fairly easy paced ride along a very short route, no real challenges there. But since it was my first event, I felt it was a good experience to learn how to travel in a peloton. Some scary moments, thanks to reckless riding from some youngsters but on the whole no major drama...race was lead by M.Kumaresan so it was quite fun to have a legend leading the pack.

may join the Dataran merdeka ride too smile.gif

Added on February 8, 2012, 1:50 pmNext up was a quick day trip down to Melaka with the family...bloody hot day but my daughter enjoyed herself strolling along Jonker Steet. Papa was quite itchy to ride so brought along his foldie...my scott roadie is great to ride when I feel the need for speed but got to say that I really love the convenience of having a folding bike. Riding along A'Famosa, cruising next to the trishaw man, those are cool experiences too...

I also got around to buying my clipless pedals and shoes. Choose the Bont A2 which I purchased from Pedalsport Sri Petaling. Kent and Joe were great in helping me setup the pedals and shoe cleats. Did a full measurement and thought me how to use them correctly. Thumbs up for the service.

user posted image

Another first for me, always wanted to try pedalling with clipless pedals but too chicken...scared to fall down. almost did a couple of times when I could not unclip.

Finally, I upgraded my stem to a Deda stem. Needed to increase the lenght to 110mm. Just installed this myself last night, gonna test it out tonight..\

Happy and safe riding folks!

I was also there assisting them.you should come to our Ciclista Chiru booth and look for jerseys wink.gif

A2's are a bit more expensive... i bought the fiberglass A3 instead... did you heat mould it?

Wah luckiliy they didn't get you to buy zero100? for only 20 grams saving... i rather buy the Zero1 and save myself 200 bucks...

just remember to keep telling yourself to unclip everytime you come to a stop... until you get the hang of it and it becomes automatic.
*
Haha! Same! I got the A3 Cervelo edition. After heat moulding, I feel wearing the shoes are much more better And more comfortable.

Guess what the price tag attached to the bike...

3599 with the wording 'sale' written as well...

I was like dropping my eyeballs...
