Pls tell me where to find one! biggrin.gif Also the price. V and E variant is different how?
I think the difference would the push start for V specs and turn key ignition for E specs.

Where you from? I got mine fitted in Bandar Puteri, Puchong, the price includes installation is MYR 3XX.

Just finished DIY undercoating on all four wheel arch.

Some parts are not undercoat from factory. Got 1 can of rubberised undercoat to coat those bare body parts. Done this on my previous vehicle, Avanza that had the same on all its four wheel arch. It does help to reduce some tyre noise.

How can coating can reduce noise? What ur opinion compararing between avanza and brv absorber on uneven road? Personally I do feel toyota is better... I can feel and hear some sound when uneven road...
*
The DIY rubberized under carriage coating does not totally reduce noise, it requires other enhances to do that. This is just one part of it..My previous experience with this coating, the noise of pebbles or stone on a newly tar surface is lowered. Anyway, it is just my personal experience where i have had from the past DIY on my Avanza.

As for suspension comparison between Avanza and BR-V, in my opinion, Avanza is built on a different platform vs BR-V, hence the absorption on uneven road may be different..BR-V suspension is closer to a sedan car, while Avanza is nearer to a van, where a general comment would be the bounciness on our highways. Most Avanza owners opt for a stiffer rear absorbers replacing the original factoey fitted ones to reduce the bounciness.

After a couple of days in my BR-V around town and ourstation drive during the long weekend on various road surface, i think the suspension setup is pretty decent albeit its price. There is not much complain here. I'm a happy and proud owner.

So far I haven't encountered that issue. Yet. I have contacted my Indo colleague and ask him to inquire about the air cabin filter. He will ask for me and waiting for his feedback.
Same here, I too have not encounter this. Been driving around during CNY, followed express bus and trucks, did not detect the exhaust fumes inside.

My understanding of the air cond filter is to keep the cooling coil clean from dust, hence prolong its working lifespan. The working principle like the dust filter in our home air conditioner.

Anyone tried super hard shell Turtle Wax?
Paste better or liquid or spray?
I use this....

After a wash, spray on the surface and wipe off. Doesn't require strength.

not sure if the sprayed type will wearoff easily..
It last for about a week + after applying. The + point is, it is easy application, spray on and wipe off.

Better than not have anything to prevent bird droppings or tree sap causing a permenant stain on the paint. Furthermore, some weekend evening exercise smile.gif

Just an update I've learnt from the BR-V Malaysia's Owner Group FB... the apparent fumes that comes into the cabin attributes to the intake flap that switches between air circulation and bringing in fresh air... the lever or the cable is not adjusted properly to control the flap to cover completely...

I'll properly reconfirm this when I send my car in this weekend for the 1st service.
*
Good info bro and an experience gained.

Regarding the fix, not sure if normal mechanics that handles the normal maintenance would be able to correct it. I reckon this would be the air conditioning department.

Suggestion, perhaps you should get the Service Advisors or mechanic to sit in your car and you drive behind a bus or a truck to make sure they acknowledge it.

Keep us updated.

Went to SC for 1k service during weekend.. Solution that Honda service center gave me is permanently seal the air intake...but in future i wont be able to get air flow in from outside.

Solution they gave me is like: If you get a house with toilet leaking..solution is seal the toilet and cant use the toilet forever... vmad.gif  vmad.gif Try to tahan the service guy awhile before i go rage.

Now i'm waiting for more answer and solution from other BRV owner, then complain again.
*
This is just what I was trying to relate earlier about having the correct personnel to look into the problem. Been through this before with a local brand vehicle and this is the exact solution that was offered at that time.. (can't imagine it is still being used after all those years) *sigh!* anyway....long story short.

In the end, went to an experienced air cond service guy outside and got the problem fixed without changing anything or sealing up the vent.

Yup. Managed to fix my car's problem. As mentioned by others, it's the cable to the air vent flap that was fixed/adjusted. No more exhaust fumes into my car's cabin. No charges for the 1k km service and nothing has been changed. They just did any overall car inspection and making sure everything looks in order. Whatever complaints we have, just let them know and they fix it in this service.
*
Excellent! Now you can enjoy the car without the bad smell other than the leather smell.

BTW, they didnt change the engine oil?

Have you tried using S or L gear? D is for normal road or conditions. I have tried 5 adults and a baby and I do admit the car feel a bit sluggish but driving under S gear, the car has more power but engine sound is more noticeable.
*
Agreed. I think BR-V should be better that my Avanza. And if I can live with the performance of it @ Genting, especially the last few km, I may not complaint.

BTW, selecting the correct gear allows the car to have better torque, try using S and alternate with L too.

Not sure how long you can keep it but you do need to have the car's VIN to buy the number, right?
*
No need car's VIN #, just walk into any JPJ, either select the running number (which cost less) or select your preferred #.

Do take note that you can go to any # greater than the current running #. This cost in total is MYR 210. If you ask the SA to engage a runner to do it, then it will be additional MYR 150.

BTW, you can hold on to the # for 30 days extension is allowed by request to JPJ.

May I know does anyone change to white headlamp?

Test drove today. Quite impressive with the power. But not impressive on the NVH (can feel every single bump and pothole =O)
*
NVH of a vehicle is normally measured with analytical tools and the results may differ from human impression as each human expectation differs from one to another, hence the mixed feelings.

Which is your preference? HID or LED?

I reckon LED should be better than HID since the heat intensity is lesser than HID.

Your thoughts
