1. It's both actually. The most convenient FP scanner design:
Unlock when device offscreen/sleep = Just tap FP.
Recent/background apps navigation = LONG tap FP.
Home navigation = PRESS the FP.
Back navigation = Single tap FP.

You may also enable on-screen navigation bar. There is no recent app and back capacitive buttons on either sides of FP scanner, which IMHO not necessary in today's standard.

2. FP is 100% reliable and fast. I don't think you are allowed to test FP performance in the retail store, unless with permission from Sales Executive.

Out of the box... SOLID but slippery... stock casing is decent to maintain it's beauty and at the same time cure the slippery "decease"... LeMoto has brought back the oldie LeMoto P780 which I had been using for 2 years as primary driver... This P2 is the re-incarnation of P780... whoever owns P780 previously, you'll love P2 even more....

You may need to wait until next week to test-drive at local stores below:
LeMoto Retail Stores to test drive P2

P2 display unit is already available in Lowyat Lenovo store, the one near KFC.

That time I went there and ask for the Phab 2 Pro, the sales guy had no idea about it and introduced me to the P2 instead.

Dang... seing the pics made me wanna go out and buy it now. Anyway, that black thing, where they put the sim ejector, kind of look like a battery - for a moment there I was disillusioned thinking that it has a removable battery (would've made it even better than it is)...

come on, take some sample pictures from the camera itself and show us.

P2 is not marketed as Multimedia (though the DAC can output "up to" 24-bit audio...quite impressive...VR...? just meh...) nor Camera-centric device... expect bad camera performance from the "legacy" Sony IMX258 sensor...

Build quality is solid & premium too. Maybe due to the fact that its thickness and weight ratio that makes it feels "premium".

The UI is the brand new "One UI" is 95% stock AOSP. LeMoto listened to users feedback (thus ditched Vibe UI)  plus it will be easier for their developers to upgrade to Nougat later. How I wish the UI background to be black like in OnePlus coz AMOLED loves black / dark theme.

Bloatware still presents but can be disabled.
*
Good to hear almost like stock UI. Previously I have used Lenovo with it's Vibe UI, it gets old pretty fast.

If the bootloader can be unlocked and source code released, I'm sure there will be developer that release custom ROM with black theme.

Trickle charge is activated once reach 80%... So, 65% is still "Rapid" Charge status... hence, bigger battery is better because within 75 minutes (1 hour 15 minutes), P2 already has 3315mAh battery capacity...

So, say, early in the morning take shower and prep for 1 hour, the device has about 50% battery (ie 5100mAh / 2 = 2550mAh capacity ready for whole day....

For the launching price, it is "reasonable" comparing to ZenFone 3, Huawei Nova Plus and other Snap625~4GB~32GB groups.... P2 has it's own potential and capabilities...
