At least their storyline is consistently implemented across all their characters, unlike Marvel who can have Black Costume Spidey in one arc, and Spidey in Red/Blue in another tongue.gif

Agreed...at least in DC events in one arc applies consistently across all storylines. Marvel arcs are a mess. One reason why I follow one story arc that I like with Marvel , and ignore the rest. Reading the X-Men story arcs in Marvel has resulted in me having to seek out a therapist...Wolverine,for example, has probably mastered travel through the space time continuum, since he can appear in 10 unrelated events at the same time... icon_question.gif rclxub.gif .Ok , I exaggerate..but you know what I mean... blink.gif

Hi peeps,

I was actually a comic collector last time but have since lost interest due to work commitments.

I've tried putting my comics up for sale but have not manage to sell any of them yet.

I was just wonder whats the market for my comics?

hi GF
the market for comics is depend on the collectors....if they want your comics it will be sell....it also depend on what type of the comics and rearity of that comics....i.e : witchblade #1 very rear so price is high despite of being produced in 1996 blush.gif
so it is demand-offer factors
cheers laugh.gif

Arius is right. It's all about demand-supply, the same as all things.

For example, X-Men Volume 2 #1 was released in 1990, and was the most long awaited book of it's time.
But Marvel printed millions of copies, resulting in everyone owning one or more copies. It's hardly valued above USD5 nowadays, coz no demand. You can find many people selling them.

On the other hand, using Arius's example , Witchblade Volume 1 #1 was released in 1995. It was a new title, featuring a then hardly known Michael Turner, in a relatively new company called Image/TopCow. It became a cult hit, and pretty much defined the "bad girl, good girl " era of comics.Demand is great, the number of copies left is low.
Condition of the comic is important. Modern Age comics form 1980 onwards, should not be anything less than a high grade near mint. Anything less usually devalues the book by huge amounts.

You've got some good titles there. In determining your pricing, evaluate the condition of the cover and inner pages ( colour must be off white(at worst) to white, no brown or yellow).Grading it properly allows you to determine it's value. If they are reading copies, then they do not have much value unless the book is absolutely rare.

Using your Darkness #1 variant as an example, depending on which variant, it's rarity, and the "Darkness" popularity, if it's in the condition as say, what you'd pick off the shelf in a comic shop, it'll probably cost around USD8 to USD16. ( really depends on which variant and condition). There were many variants, so you'll have to be specific. smile.gif smile.gif

Witchblade #20,21 are ok..probably in the USD5-8 region. Witchblade #25 may be higher value, depending on the cover type.Is it the standard cover, foil or speckled foil?

Cheers!

hi GF,
some of your comics are nice...nowadays usually people who buy the old comics is usually a collector..and they usually buy the rear one or regular one just to complete the collection...therefore if your comics is the regular one then you need to wait till someone probably need it if not then it will not sell coz nowadays people will buy trade paperback just to read and they will not buy regular comics accept if that comics are very very rear...so good luck for your sale icon_rolleyes.gif nod.gif
love this cover....that why i keep it...
