QUOTE(silrave @ Sep 3 2017, 05:41 PM) any si fu know where got do repair service first make sure it's actually not caused by a faulty controller like what our friend here highlighted before, because if that's the case, replacing switches doesn't help actually.seem like switches got issue if plan to change switch who can do and how much? QUOTE(pspslim007 @ Sep 4 2017, 02:56 AM) it's up to your preference. if you don't need number pad, you can go for k65 rgb rapidfire. however, bear in mind that they have non-standard layouts (especially the bottom row). if you wanna replace key caps later, options might not be as many.you can refer to this page for various key cap layouts and cap sizes, http://www.maxkeyboard.com/mechanical-keyc...size-chart.html |

QUOTE(silrave @ Sep 4 2017, 11:46 AM) if you researched on this part, most people will ask you to communicate with razer first for the right firmware updater. (via support email, fb, or something like that)-- on the other hand, have you tried the key chattering fix? http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=157671 |

QUOTE(Lightning.R91 @ Aug 29 2017, 10:09 AM) Hi all, is there any custom keycao for romer g switch...? You can get complete set replacement keycaps for the G910 on TaoBao or AliExpress.I'm using G910,which got weird shaped on the original key caps. You can get the keycaps for either the G910 Orion Spark (normal key surface) or G910 Orion Spark (bumpy surface/weird shape). Here is the cheapest one I can find on AliExpress: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100-origina...2733069896.html You can get it for $32 if you use their mobile app. Make sure to let them know you want the set with the "curved shape". Before attempting to replace any keys, make sure you also have a good keycap puller. This post has been edited by adkiller: Sep 4 2017, 06:35 PM |

Any recommendation on keyboards that have backlight as good as the Logitech G Pro or G810? I just need the letters to be lit, not whole keyboard.
Also need the "Context Menu" key and onboard memory to store custom profiles. I am ok with either TKL or full layout. After a week of checking out so many different types of mech keyboards, I am considering the Logitech G Pro or G810, CM Masterkeys Pro S/L and Ducky Shine 6. The Shine 6 has no "Context Menu" key and comes only with 1yr warranty for the crazy price. The Masterkeys also has no "Context Menu" key, poor key lighting. The G810 has no onboard memory to store profiles. The G Pro seems to be the best option for my use case, but I wonder if I am missing any better option there. Any advice? QUOTE(Jay Chua CC @ Sep 4 2017, 08:46 PM) it's better to use a wire key puller instead of plastic, especially when you have an expensive key cap set. you should be more careful when you replace it with another set without damaging them. |

Even though manufacturer will say millions of key presses reliability, they are not confident in giving a long warranty for it. I think $400 is the max I will spend. |

QUOTE(adkiller @ Sep 4 2017, 10:42 PM) One of the reason I don't want to spend so much is that keyboard will have wear and tear. it's really up to you to get what you want. we all have different expectations from a mkb, so it's fine if things like self repairs, swapping key caps, and mods are not taken into accounts. personally i do think too much about price-performance ratios as well as build quality when suggesting a good one to those who ask.Eventually the switch will give way. Even though manufacturer will say millions of key presses reliability, they are not confident in giving a long warranty for it. I think $400 is the max I will spend. btw not many boards have context menu key these days. afaik the other brand that has this built-in is filco.
