is it oke to lube switches with white lithium grease?
i tried lubing the stabs, nyum nyum
Ah, I was just about write on this here. I did try lubing the stabilizer bar of my right shift using white lithium grease pen (ACE hardware, around belas2 ringgit). This right shift keycap was sticky and would get stuck randomly sometimes, super annoying when it remains depressed. Anyway, after lubing (just a bit, less is more), the problem went away for awhile but after a week it reoccured. So I tried shaving off a little bit of the keycap's bottom inside edge using an Xacto knife (refer to pic below, NB pic isn't mine, just using it here to illustrate the part I'm referring to). Guess what, the keycap gets stuck more often! Am I doing something wrong? For now, I relubed for the time being as a stopgap measure.
Oh, and this didn't happen with the stock ABS keycaps of my Majestouch 2. It only started happening when I switched out to a set of Leopold PBT keycaps. Thicker than the stock Filco keycaps for sure, but also I think the Leopold keycaps' SS2 profile could also be a factor but not 100% sure.
Would appreciate feedback.
