QUOTE(SackBoy @ Dec 17 2016, 11:41 AM) Oh, i was planning around next year to get u a front diffuser/lip (pp material) as a token of appreciation for maintaining this forum. So u still want? LOL thanks man! Really appreciate your kind gesture, but I have to decline, really don't want to put anything on the car based on my traumatic previous experience. I am helping to keep the thread up for the love of the car and community [attachmentid=8268376] That said... Anyone wants to take over as the next thread's TS is welcome to PM me |

QUOTE(appleseedb @ Dec 18 2016, 09:58 AM) Anyone with 1.5TCP experienced engine stalled while driving? I faced this 2 times since got the car end of last month.. latest was last night while driving in elite, the throttle suddenly not responding and speed went down from 75kmph to 20kmph drasticly.. Sorry to hear about your problem bro. First time I've heard about this though... Do go to the SC immediately if possible to complain about this - let us know what was the diagnostic test found out about this.i read in civicx forum there was a recall in US, but for 2.0 model only. i have an appointment with Honda Bangi this Wednesday for 1k service so will definitely ask them to take a look.. QUOTE(t3arsCulprit @ Dec 19 2016, 03:19 PM) Hi guys, where can I find 215/55R16 size tyre? Michelin Pilot Sport 3 has this size. Not sure if there are other car tyres, but there are others of course... But if you're only replacing one unit, go for the same car tyre bro. This tyre config seems quite odd.. Any other size I can use other than 215/55R16? I only nid to replace one unit.. This post has been edited by isr25: Dec 19 2016, 04:52 PM |

QUOTE(t3arsCulprit @ Dec 19 2016, 05:42 PM) Wow, it isn't cheap to upgrade all rims and tyres at the same time bro My analogy for tyres is like wearing shoes. Even if you're wearing the correct shoe size for your feet, wearing one running Nike shoe on one foot, and wearing one running Adidas shoe on the other, you would not feel 100% comfortable because of the different tread patterns... Wearing one old shoe on one foot and one new shoe on the other foot, even the same type and size, would not bring 100% comfort to you as well, because of the different tread depth. So why is it any different than your car?Yea, Conti MC5 too but spending RM 500+ for just a conti tyre.. That is also why, normally we would change 2 tyres at the minimum (usually the rear tyres get the brand new ones). If your tyres are still brand new, then changing one tyre is ok. But usually would recommend you to use the same tyre make and size. This post has been edited by isr25: Dec 19 2016, 06:04 PM |

QUOTE(Omniscience @ Dec 22 2016, 12:17 AM) Grats! Will add you to the list 1. Windshield washer - one of my washer sprayer was lower than the other. I aligned it manually myself after that. Easy job. 2. Some fog at the headlights / signal - normal if the car is brand new, but after your first heavy rain, look for any signs of water in your headlights / signal lights. 3. Driver carpet clippings - some people didn't get it, or installed improperly. 4. Seat clippings - sometimes not installed properly. check underneath driver & passenger seats. The rest you can check known issues on 1st post. QUOTE(dknight07 @ Dec 22 2016, 12:25 AM) Will add you in too bro! Congrats! Do join us in the whatsapp chat group on first post too if you want to. |

QUOTE(Mightypc @ Dec 22 2016, 01:08 PM) Got my Lunar Silver TC last week. TS please add me to proud owner list~~ Added! Do join us in the whatsapp group chat if you want - the link is in the first page, or in the comment below:Been driving it for a week shifting from Persona 1.6 manual. A few findings compare to my persona and my bro's altis & vios. 1. Turning radius for both Persona & Civic are same 6m. However I find easier to make U-turn for civic. Faster response, maybe every degree turn on civic steering give more turning at wheel. In S shaped road, the sudden change direction can be handled in real quick. Compare to my bro's altis and vios, no doubt civic is much better. 2. Rattling sound at right side in uneven road. Found it is because of the plastic cover underneath right side of steering (there are cables at inside) is poorly supported. When I put my hand to hold the plastic cover, the noise is gone. The noise can be reproduce easily by flicking the plastic cover. Thumb down for Honda 3. Suspension is great compare to altis. 4. The door lock response is slow. When i put my hand in the door handle, if i pull it quick, unable to open the door because the lock not release yet. Need to release the handle and pull again, kinda frustrating. I gonna talk to SC in my 1,000km service. 5. Handling is much better the Altis. Have not tested on highway or hill road yet. SA adviced not to ramp hard before 1,000km. Gonna to test it when my CNY trip back from Johor from Penang. Planning start from Kedah to Kelantan, there are 100km++ mountainous road at Titiwangsa. Then move south via East Coast highway to Kuantan, then further down to Johor. Total distance around 800km. My Persona can do it with 12 hours. Maybe 11hours with civic?? Mix all of these things together in a container: -used cooking oil -margerine -condensed milk Leave it overnight and see if you've gotten all critters out. Source |

QUOTE(knwong @ Dec 26 2016, 11:20 PM) Learnt something new. Didn't know got such claim option. Will keep that in mind... 3rd party claim leceh & much slower. OD-KFK is useful as you'll be claiming from your own insurance, but won't affect your NCD. Same procedure as normal claims (like own fault/damage) but this one is used when you are 100% not at fault, and could be claimed against a 3rd party insurance. What's the catch for using this claim? What's the difference with a third party claim? But OD-KFK could not be used if: 1. Hit by a taxi/bus (public service vehicle), 2. Hit by a vehicle not insured in Malaysia (including insured Singapore/Thailand vehicles), as well as 3. If any party got body injury claims |

QUOTE(kyle9 @ Dec 28 2016, 09:57 AM) QUOTE(hao5501 @ Dec 28 2016, 10:57 AM) Correct. DRL is for during Daylight (namesake is Daylight Running Light) that is why it is brighter. If you turn the lights to on (not main headlights) it will be dimmed, as it's normally used at night.I suggest for everybody if you have issues that the auto lights are turned on even during bright daytime, do bring your car back to the SC for sensitivity readjustment. This may be because your tint might be too dark. |

Happy seeing quite a number of people buying the Honda Civic - you definitely won't regret your purchase! Welcome to our community!
Next year rebates most likely would be around RM2K - but the SA would normally add on top of that from their commission. So I guess around 4K rebate early 2017? Wishing all of you a great 2017! 2016 was quite a sucky year... except for the launch of the Honda Civic X in Malaysia of course This post has been edited by isr25: Dec 30 2016, 04:51 PM |

QUOTE(keithwwk @ Dec 28 2016, 03:45 PM) Checked this car lately. Roomy and spacious. Front passenger seat is very low compared to driver seat. Rided 1.5tc in very short circle couldn't really feel much but short impression was quiet, smooth and stable. 1.8 fabric seat quality should be better. Wife don't like its look. Too ah beng she said. Otherwise, quite comfortable. Anyway need to test on real traffic to feel more. Still checking another car to widen our radar to finalise. So? Decided yet which car to get QUOTE(Mightypc @ Dec 29 2016, 09:30 AM) Comrades. i notice a funny thing on the fuel gauge and mileage count. It happened yesterday. I seriously never knew about this since I always fill to full. Did some research on this and found out that Toyota Prius needs to fill up at least 3 gallons of fuel (11.3 liters) for the computer to register & recalculate the distance to empty. No info for Civic though, but I guess it would be similar.Afternoon i got the low fuel warning and i continued to drive until left 42km... I went to petrol station and pump RM10, the low fuel warning still there and mileage didn't increased. I was expecting the low fuel warning will goes away and i get a new mileage countdown. Fuel gauge maintained at same low position. In the evening when I drove back from office, the mileage continue drop to 32km with low fuel warning, the stop at petrol station and pump RM10 again. The funny thing is the low fuel warning and mileage count still the same despite i pump total RM20? Fuel gauge maintained at same low position. Then i continue drive again, the mileage continue drop until 28km, then I go pump RM10 again. After pumped, the fuel gauges suddenly went to half tank and mileage increased to 270km This is so weird |
