Btw, im talking bout the 1.5 variant navigation to be installed into the 1.8 variant. Is it possible?
Anyway, can you share the guide for the hdmi bypass as well?
Not sure about navi in 1.8
What i was telling u just bow, why bother having 1.5 navi in your 1.8, when u can use waze or google map (in my case apple map)
Check this video out
And this..
Its just that when hdmi mirror, u cant control the menu through screen.. you may set prior to your journey in your phone.. and let your HU display your route for the entire drive
No wire cut.. all plug n play.. so do not worry about warranty issue as no wire cut at all
Can someone point out for me which hdmi dongle is compatible for hdmi mirroring
Tried to digest which one is suitable.. but knowing there r soo many type n function, worry i might get a wrong one with unnecessary feature.. or worst it wont work at all..
So appreciate those who had done this pls advise something.
P/s: I read previous comment use Ezcast. But when i checked on lazada, there r soo many different type if it. Which one?
using this EZcast 5G currently. but sometimes will encounter abit of lag and takes some time to load up the interface for me to connect using wireless display. Overall display quality ok la since I only use it to cast my Waze, not youtube.
Do you need to keep your casting device on?
I.e if you shut your phone screen, will you HU screen goes black as well?
Can u still access to phone data/line after u connect to dongle wifi?
Sorry for all nubie questions, been reading a lot but find it kinda hard to digest at this age >_<

I've been following this page from 1st till end. So far I am considering Civic 1.8s so I have been wondering so far is there any major problem with it? From the review I've been reading so far not much on 1.8s only mainly on 1.5 Turbo. Want to confirm for tinting and extra security add ons if we install those outside non-panel Honda SC will it void the car warranty? So far i've receive quote from SA on 4.2K rebate for 2017 cars and Tookar currently have 4.4K rebate, Anyone have been using Tookar is it reliable?
Problem with 1.8s? -myself have this one little problem with my civic 1.8s, and that is my excitement that i have, n kiasu people bang me from behind. Other than that 1.8s works very well for me (at least for now)
Outside tint void warranty? -No. Matter of fact better do outside.
Tookar? -Few forumers discussed about tookar and they seemed reliable. Not sure about 2017 made rebate though

Thanks Sawamura for your advise, yea i am considering to do it outside for the tinting part. So far the rebate i've gotten for 2017 car from SA is 4.2k and Tookar I am not sure if those are 2017 car as they too are giving out 4.4k rebate for civic thinking if those rebate is worth it or there are better rebates out there. Do you know if there are any test drive unit for Civic 1.8? so far I've tested 1.5Turbo and Mazda 3, It would be great if i can test the model that i am actually buying.
Test drive for 1.8s im pretty sure there is none.
I was looking for 1.8s test drive too but all honda that i went said the same thing. There is nothing new in 1.8s engine. People r more interested to test 1.5t hence only 1.5t is provided. U can view the 1.8s interior though.
Being a 1.8s owner myself, i agree there is a significant different in power between this car compared to the 1.5s that i tested drive. But again, it serves my need and i strongly believe 1.8s is sufficient.
Thanks! Now, any one know if there's any cheap tempered glass protector for the HU? Found one at lelong but I figured to just use one that was meant for a tablet. Anyone knows what tablet best fit our HU?
Havent found one.
But planning to DIY i.e buy 9" tablet screen protector n manually cut to our HU shape.
Might not be as neat, but at least i got my full screen covered, rather than just portion of the screen
Sawamura, found a member sell RM90 for the screen protector in FB group, Honda Civic FC Club Malaysia (CFCC).
I think i saw that ine before...
But that do not cover the entire screen, only the rectangular shape at the touch screen itself. Thats why im thinking to DIY the screen protector i.e manual cut
wow~ impressive~ i rmb out of the rectangular touch screen, there got abit curve and a gap.... wont caused bubble? what kind of screen protector u gonna use to DIY?
From my measurement, i need a 13" laptop screen screen protector to be able to cover it fully
Then will trace and cut on it. Rectangular part will have to be detached as the surface ia not flushed.
If apply all in one piece, probably bubble here n there. I might consider this also since i dont really bothered about the bubble.
Its easier to deal with bubble than all itchy hand press here press there later leave scratch at the side part.
