i have been using gamepath for quite sometime now. it is still very slow recently, and infact its even more stable to not use gamepath these few days.

in both case (with gamepath or not using gamepath) 25man content is still unplayable. clearing thrash is ok. but once boss fight starts, ur connection drop like a brick.

i find recently without using gamepath. u can still stay online but lag like hell, i can still do normal uld25 (i cant even do normal mode with gamepath recently) but anything demanding like any hardmodes . u will make the group fail due to your lag (low dps/heal/tps, whatever ur assigned to do).

also a note about gamepath:
when i started using it 5 months ago their gateways were very good. But now i guess they wanna make more money, they have been showing signs of overpopulating each of their gateways. the common practice used by most profit minded organisation anyway, i blame the govnmt for failing to enforce business ethics.

its sad seeing ppl who stay in cyberjaya also failing to get good ping haha, i guess my area is hopeless.

what is meaning of cyberjaya? haha cyberlol or cyberphail?

edit:
i used to ge able to get good ping using 60.48.xx.xxx ip. can anyone who have been using this ip give me a good new IP to work with?

Guys, I've changed this thread a bit. Also, have move it to an Open Wiki so that anyone can go and update the ISP connection. I don't have a lot of time to always update so letting users/readers update it accordingly.

Been having serious issues with gamepath ever since patch, I can PVP fine, but during 25 man where there is more data flowing, I keep dc'ing the min the fight starts. FIrst 1-2 casts will be fine, then you slowly feel the game clogging up, then dc. This is so frustrating

Added on August 9, 2009, 9:42 pmI hate streamyx. I might just buy maxis broadband. It may not be good for gaming but it cant be worse than this

I heard they added quite a few Malaysian servers recently which should accommodate all the users for the time being I guess.

Anyways on a different topic... for those who are keen, I found out that they are doing a joint promotion with OffGamers in giving away free 2 days account and stand a chance to win 20% extra time for any Gamepath reloads for LIFE!

Here is the link - Gamepath Account Giveaway

Wonder if I can register a new user for this purpose.. LOL!

Hi, i have just started working in Malaysia (JB). I'm quite surpise with the internet connections being honestly bad.

I have being raiding 25 man content, and constanly DC 20 secs into a boss pulls. If im lucky i dont dc. It's like a time-bomb anytime can go off. Its very frustrating for me.

However i tried using smoothping (something similiar to gamepath) but somehow when i zone into a 25 man raid instance, my latency increases and it will dc after a few sec into the boss fights. I tried raiding on 10 man with it, seems ok? or just base on luck im not sure.

I read a few of the threads about choosing IP? how do i go about do it? I'm currently using Celcom Broadband. Anyone have any idea? I appreciate the help! I have no clue how you guys doing over here. I have been pampered with using good internet connection abroad.

Firstly,

Welcome to Malaysia! Where first world aspirations meet third world reality!

By choosing IP, basically we just disconnect and reconnect or reboot our modems and hope we get assigned a good IP address. Not sure about Celcom Broadband but Streamyx users are given dynamic IP addresses (not entirely dynamic since you're given a very limited range of addresses to use). In your case, I'd suggest just trying to disconnect and reconnect your modem. You should be able to see your assigned IP address in the modems' settings menu.

And using a tunnel service has become the norm if not the requirement for WoW players over here. Without it, you'd get what you're currently facing. With a tunnel service, you can get 200-400ms average.

Some areas may be extremely lucky and provide good connection. But for the most part, I think we're all using a tunnel service.

You can always try this...

I use this one. Without it I can't get past the connecting screen.

does using streamyx dc you from 25 man raid instance? cos celcom does. With or without using a tunnel service. i'm thinking of changing to streamyx as celcom bandwidth varies diff time of the day. sigh. Btw you said streamyx depends on area? i thought it a wired broadband that uses a phone line as well. ? The connection should be fast and stable doesnt it?

today i tried using gamepath for 25 man raid instance, it lag and dc me. im totally lost, im not sure it my internet connection or my vista-64 bit or merging account to bnet. Cos i have been getting issues eversince i merge to bnet. i know for sure it couldnt be any tunnel issues. i feel its the bent and my vista 64bit. conflicting with the tunnel service.

Any idea what i should look for if im changing to streamyx? like my area how the connection? notworthy.gif

I saw a thread regarding realm IP? how does that help our connection.

Thank you so much in advance.

one thing that i noticed, though
the latency were good before the conversion to battle.net
i mean good was below 500ms all the time
but after the conversion, recently, the latency shot up to 800ms all the time and never seems to hit below 700ms at all
oh yes, i'm using our national isp streamyx
just my 2 cents

*
his post was on 27 july and yes streamyx is as shit as any other connection
you can either DIY lower ping or get game tune
apparently other ppl using game tune do not complain about random dc's im using game path the lattency in raids is meh only server stability can dc randomly at times.

i experience the same issues too.

yeah i realise have to use a tunnel service to enhance our latency. there a horde guild that very progression driven in thaurissan and they are from malaysia as well. Maybe i should ask them what ISP they are using and etc.

i dont have random dc. Eversince i merge account my latency shoot up during 25 man raids and gets DC every time we engage a boss, i check the tunnel service it's aint thier issues. So it's left with my ISP and my computer vista 64bit?

there a number of people experiencing it worldwide. So im keeping my option wide and i need to solve this issues asap as i'm in one of the top pve guild on my server. DC = bad bad bad, high latency = bad bad bad bad.
