Kena this two days ago. Pickup at Iranian restaurant in Ampang.

A lady came and put her hand up to signal to wait. So i press pickup.

Suddenly 2 guys came with a couple ot large buffet food trays and put at back seat.

I tot ok, it's well sealed and etc. Next thing they signalled me to go (without many rider) and proceed to the booked destination in belimbing heights in seri kembangan, like 35kms away.

I was like wtf. They didnt mark anything in job order abt food delivery and no passenger nor not courteous enough to call me if i am agreeable to the arrangement.

I told them, grab is a ride hailing service and not food delivery. They said their customer asked to do this way as location is far. I said ur customer is not my customer and u cant do this unless driver agreed beforehand.

Next thing is they understood that I won't accede to their food delivery request, they took the kebabs and mandy rice trays and salad bowl out.

I drove off and called cs abt the issue, operator gladly cancelled for me as they knew it wasn't my fault.

Long story short, beware of such ppl expecting food delivery, even a feast of food items, just like i encountered.

To make it clear, ive done food service for a rider before, but that was cupcakes to a school and rider was courteous enuff to discuss the arrangement and to confirm if it is ok with me when I reached the pickup location. Summore is for kids, so i am fine with a little 'give back to society' moment.

The kebab scenario was more than 30kms trip and large food items and the ignorance showed by the rider kinda ticked me off.

As the guy mentioned, u r pro by default.

Meet the requirements, u will get ur incentive for week, ie. Rides from register day till 11:59pm Sunday.

Used to be Mondays that incentive topup is credited.

Nowadays though mostly Tuesdays but once before Wednesday/Thursday.

Later than Tuesday usually will be notified via sms. Some forumers here will also share the info if indeed delayed.

To me, long distance (no price surge) gs is worse than short trips gs.

Coz 30% weightage is more significant for longer rides.

If short trip gs, pain and sense of kuliness is cut-short considerably. Lol

Bro. To clear things, both monkey and me do consider gs less than rm7.

U shud accept all less than rm5 unless u r a fare player.

But fare players oso sakit now cos of gs and ar 30%.


Best way to go now I think is to be hybrid, like so many forumers suggested, go for high gare for P and lower blocks.

hp ans higher aim for low fares.

But then again, since u r not aiming to be an incentive player by the looks of ur ar, suppose u just aim 30% enuff.

Honestly, have started calculating since a couple months back. It is always a little more than what i calculated, usually around rm15-20 more.

Meaning, I honestly doubt grab con us drivers intentionally.

Better check ur available button all the time, make sure to prorate for toilet breaks (if u not online) and tabulate daily incentives by eod and try to match ride count with app.

I jot this in lamest format ever.

Time/bonus marker/1st Trip count of the hr.fare/2nd trip of the hr.fare (nett incentive) [total count of trips for the hour]

Eg.
6am Hp 1.3/2.5/3.9 (18.40) [3]
7am Up 1.10/2.4 (15.20) [2]
9am work
5pm Up 1.23 (1.60) [1]

RM0 GRAB: Peringatan: xxxxxxx, kami mendapati jumlah CANCELLATION anda (driver + passenger) untuk minggu lepas (03/07 - 09/07) adalah lebih tinggi daripada kadar purata Grabber yang lain. Selain itu, ada juga passenger mengadu anda minta mereka cancel tanpa sebab kukuh. Sila offline jika tidak dapat menerima tempahan.

True that. But like some guys mentioned before, how do u control passenger cancellation? Cant be helped tbh.

Especially when pick up 2-3km away during jam in kl city centre.

If grab can tell drivers abt this kind of warnings, then how do drivers put up with crappy job pings? Esp gs ones

Seriously im avoiding klia frm now on. In cyberjaya 30mins no ping. . students on long holiday issit or too many drivers camp there?

My klia trip just now took 1.5hrs. now otw bk no ping at cyber. Omg. Missed bonus for 7pm n 8pm. Sigh.

6pm burn coz klia trip..
Seriously 8pm P suck ass. Part-time now really like nt worth it.

If only i cud stop driving entirely.
