QUOTE(skylineGTR @ Jul 16 2008, 03:39 PM) i'm still not quite understand about how this score is produced, because like bro's above, 4gb ram but score 5.7 whereas others (include mine) using 2gb ram already got 5.9... can somebody explain about this plss? It's the speed of the RAM that matters, not the amount |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jul 16 2008, 06:36 PM) u mean 533/667/800/1066 Mhz speed of RAM? if like that, i got score 5.9 with 2GB Kingston DDR2 667Mhz, mean bro madguy88's ram speed should lower than mine la even though his ram is 4gb, maybe 533mhz or lower |

In the end it's the speed. The more RAM you have, the more time it needed to access all of it. And as 32Bit is limited to 3.5GB anyways, 4GB of RAM does lead to a slowdown on 32bit system as it needs to limit the last 512MB of addressing space.

U must look at these things that can affect the score such as memory timing, speed, latency...etc. All AMD processor have an integrated memory controller that is better if compare to current intel processor that used mainboard chipset as a controller, so for intel processor difference chipset may cause difference score tooThat's is what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong... |

QUOTE(skylineGTR @ Jul 17 2008, 07:56 AM) ooo like that ka? thanks for the infor bro No problem, but what make it bad is the total score in windows vista is determined by lowest subscore, and the highest score is 5.9... better used other software for comparison purposebtw this is my score for my current pc (spec like my siggy): » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Ur score not bad |
