Just throw in some hay then you'll see your gerbils come over and start chewing the hay like sugarcane... hahaha

hay is important for the gerbs to make nest, play along, chew it, or jus simply dig it when i stack it up...
but then most of the gerbs will chew it up then make it as a bedding or a nest....
for my gerbs, yuki and kioko like to use the hay as the nest,
while my the other tank, the yellow fox one with her pups one, they all like to take the hay and chase around...

For gerbils, hay is very important. It gives them a sense of security, something to do, material for nesting and also something to nibble if there is a need for more fiber for their health heheheh....

Hey just wondering.. u all put about 1 inch plus of wood shavings each time for gerbils. How many times can you change for a standard pack of chipsi classic before i have to buy again???

HAhaha.... this one ah... hard to answer since I use up about 50 liters of wood shavings in 1 week. For you, 50 liters can last maybe about 3 months heheheh.... I think lah. Agak agak only.

omg.. meaning if I use 1 pack for 5L can only last for about 1 week+???? gg...

Ok, the Chipsi Classic small pack... sorry, I forgot how many litters... but that can last a 1.5ft tank about 1 month if you change weekly.... hahah.... I think, so long lah since I did such changing but do not worry, for you is economical.

I use RM21 Delikate large pack, that huge pack, can last me the most is 1.5 weeks hahahah.... Coz I got.... aiyoh, dunno how many tanks to change coz not only gerbils but hamsters and mice and rats as well kekekek.....

like this my 1 month expenses will more than double alrd..lol.. the corn corbs+ breeder's celect+ chipsi classic+ habitrail+ prestige hamster i estimate have to buy once every 2 months.. hoho.. gonna be broke.

in split cage cos morning i am not in.. i don't risk them lah..

as i remember hahahhaa... 1 60L chipsi classic u can use about 3 mths.

lol...now i 15 litre use onli 2-3 times. then have to change everyweek somemore....
