100% agree on the dynamic range, and i feel capturing at 4:3 ratio produced better photos
i hope sony can enable RAW capture
prefer to edit on computer using lightroom as sony can sometimes over process photos

thanks all for feedback. Just realised third party cables are the ones loose. The original Sony cable fits quite snugly. Guess not all USB C cables are made the same.

good to hear that there's nothing wrong with the port

BTW, anyone can suggest a good casing? mostly i found online are rather bland, and mostly TPU
i'm not against TPU, but some can really feel cheap in hand

This phone can't deny the best video recording out there! But sadly to bid it go today, maybe will get it again when the price is right, to be the only purpose for video cam. laugh.gif

This phone has great video camera we have to admit. However, my unit gets hot easily during recording video in daytime under sun in just over 2 minutes.

Then warning message appears and camera app starts to freeze. This is not a pleasant experience.

That is surprising. Never encountered one before. How good is this if only 2 minutes of video length we can shoot?

It's normal. It's an ambient light sensor, which serves as auto brightness.
Try enter a dim room and turn on/off adaptive brightness. smile.gif

ambient display? you mean something like the moto / LG / Samsung passive display where it display information like time?

i really recall xz have that function. but you can try disabling double tap to wake if the screen keeps turning on in your pocket
