bought xperia xz blue forest this evening, so i was wondering is there any way to link facebook contacts' photo to the contacts app?

i googled and seems like FB have remove the sync function, is there any workaround?

unfortunately it didnt sync the contact photos, though i can see the FB contacts

mine is quite tight, so far got that "click" feel when i connect the cable for charging

100% agree on the dynamic range, and i feel capturing at 4:3 ratio produced better photos
i hope sony can enable RAW capture
prefer to edit on computer using lightroom as sony can sometimes over process photos


good to hear that there's nothing wrong with the port

BTW, anyone can suggest a good casing? mostly i found online are rather bland, and mostly TPU
i'm not against TPU, but some can really feel cheap in hand

just googled devilcase, niiiicceee, though it is a bit pricey, but darn, it look great
interested in getting the hairline backcover skin as well, but if i order now, the delivery fee

if anyone doing bulk, maybe we can share the delivery fee
else i see how much for the bumper case with backcover skin

ambient display? you mean something like the moto / LG / Samsung passive display where it display information like time?

i really recall xz have that function. but you can try disabling double tap to wake if the screen keeps turning on in your pocket

ordered the devilcase 9H back tempered glass and also the straight hairline back skin, so most likely looking for bumper-style casing, but current selection is kinda limited.

dont really want to get some cheap casing as i'm worry that it will trap the heat at the back of the phone, when charging.

when double tapping the screen to wake up, did you guys tap on the center of the screen or any where on the screen?
the desc on the settings mention about tapping at the center of the screen.

i tried to double tapping at the center now, and has better success rate compared to last time, but still not 100%

the manual settings seems to be the same as it most likely being pushed to other model as well.
i was hoping for RAW support but it seems like it was not included to my disappointment.
some photos still being overly processed.

BTW, is there any settings that i can set so that the phone screen will automatically turns on when there are new messages, like SMS and whatsapp?

also gotten the 9H back protector with lens and flash protector
after applying the phone is much more reflective and no longer have that matte finish to it
but it is not as slippery as i thought it would be

in a way, yes, i'm happy to read about that, but at the same time, i hope Sony will do improvement on their software as well, such as the IQ on their camera (honestly their camera has so much potential, but their software really is keeping their hardware back).

i_bony, did you install any third party launcher or lockscreen?
i install next lockscreen so that it will auto turn on screen when there are notifications, but it kinda drain the battery. So i removed it.
Now i just use the stock home launcher and lockscreen, just use icon pack.
the other app that seems to drain my battery is google hangout, which i didnt even launch since i got the XZ.
i disabled that app and see if i can get better battery life

when are you ordering?
i want to, but one thing is holding me back, will the aluminium bumper interfere with the signal.
signal reception is a little weak compare to my previous phone, worry that the bumper might make it weaker.

but any how, do let me know when you are ordering.

currently using nilkin tempered glass. it doesnt cover the whole screen, and as long as it is applied at the center, you wont notice much of the "bubbles" at the side edges.
and it comes with plastic protector for the back and lens, but I'm not using as I'm using devilcase back and lens tempered glass

XZ is selling well until freebies habis?

have you been experiencing this since you got the phone?
or you only experiencing the issue lately?
how about any 3rd party launcher / lock screen that you might have installed?

other than double tap to wake, i found the phone very snappy and fluid.
only experience laggy FB and chrome app, is when my data connectivity is bad

if you guys ran antutu info tab, you can also see that core 2 and 3 is "sleeping".
heck, even antutu saying the rear camera is only 8.3MP while all this while i set it to 23MP.

as for the benchmark score, are you running the benchmark in similar condition?
i ran once in normal room temperature then ran another time with the phone in front of the car air con.
the score 120000++ vs 137000++

then i guess that a bug might have cause the issue, but mine still showing sleep though the percentage of core 2 & 3 is moving
with the latest update

please snap pic of the bumper with the phone, as well give some feedback on the bumper.
especially if it affects the signal or not when indoor.
