Just bought a Asus ROG Swift PG279Q monitor. The white balance/brightness uniformity is disappointed for this kind of premium screen. Search online there are lots of same issue reported as well. I will try to test using the X-Rite i1display Pro colorimeter tonight and post the result here.

Just would like to know, can I return/exchange the monitor in this case?

Guys, exchanged my PG279Q yesterday and guess what, same left side yellow tint problem on this new unit, panel manufacturing date same July 2017 as previous returned unit.

Measured using i1display Pro colorimeter reveal the exact truth that seen by my eye

I'm going to return the 2nd unit and this time ask for refund, the shop understood and approved my request. This is a joke consider how expensive the panel was.

Know what, until now no reply by the so call 'Asus Malaysia technical support' in this thread, is a completely joke and you definitely loss ur potential customer here.

My main issue here is not the backlight bleed or glow, this 2 i can live with it because the effect on real world application is minimal, i do not have these issues in both the unit.

The main issue is the yellow tint, aka white point uniformity of the screen is damn poor. It causing a half yellow half white during browsing or in desktop mode with white/gray background.

Anyway thanks for your reply and today i successfully returned and get it refunded as well.

1st unit H7LMQS093055, 2nd unit i don't even care to look at it as i know i will get it refund. Both manufacturing date code July 2017, from Brightstar Lowyat Plaza.

Hi i just bought a VZ249 monitor. And when i hook up the rgb Cable that came in the box to my pc, it says can't find vga signal. But when i use my own hdmi cable and hook up to my pc it can work. What is the problem?

That hdmi cable is my own one bcs asus didn't give any hdmi cable. They only give the rgb cable..

I am using a Asus GTX 1050ti graphic card. I just put the RGB cable into the slot at the back of the computer I am not sure if it is connected to graphic card or motherboard. I am not good with i.t stuff. But I think it should be connected to motherboard.

Doing some monitor survey here, hope you guys can help me out.

Requirements:
- IPS is a must - I like my jack sparrow prawn clear and beautiful, no compromise
- 144 Hz refresh rate
- decent response time
- 1920x1080 or QHD resolution
- I’ll be transitioning from a laptop to a desktop, I need the monitor to be versatile
Q1 & Q2 of 2019
hook up the monitor as a primary monitor with a laptop (GPU: GTX960M), so I’m guessing the GPU can only support FHD resolution

Q3 and beyond
Retire laptop, build a rig with RTX2060. I suppose RTX2060 is able to power QHD without any issues.

Any suggestions?
