Hi ASUSmy,

Can i confirm that the TUF VG27AQ will run well with my GTX 1050Ti? Mostly will using it for movies & light gaming only. Is it advisable to use HDMI or DP cable?

Currently looking for a new monitor & not very knowledgeable on hardware side. Hope can get some advise here. Thanks.

I watch review from youtuber Bijan, that convinced me to buy this.. no regrets.. its absolutely good..

& hardware unboxed

moving from XL2411Z to this monitor, it was really a leapfrog...

color accuracy is good out of the box (if properly calibrated, can get below 2 deltaE) ,gamut also ok although just 99% srgb, compared to some more premium at 126% srgb... quite fast, though I prefer just stay at 240hz... being an HDR monitor, some game will detect this, & automatically turn on HDR setting for better color, higher contrast ratio.. for example, I play farcry5... design for me is good, not overly done like those ROG , full of RGB at back, but cannot see .

ASUS QC also good, although, mine has one defect stuck pixel ( it has all other color, except black.. on black wallpaper, it will emit white)
but according to asus warranty, cannot claim, unless more than 3 dead/stuck pixels. no complain, its so small, i dont notice at all.

ONE MY BIGGEST COMPLAIN about this monitor, is LACK OF SOFTWARE TO TUNE THE DISPLAY...
all tuning, changing profile must be done on OSD with toggle stick, & 3button... which I hate...=.= i want fast profile changing when i play game & web browsing

Hi Ulysses,

DP will provide better performance compare to HDMI and you can set any refresh rate you want.

Make sure the Nvidia driver is the latest also.

Thank you

hi asus.. no more problem anymore once im using DP... i guess DP is better cable for handling 240hz

Hi kcirdenk,

I believe you need to check the review of your 1050TI graphic card. The monitor display what the graphic card producing.

And display port cable are always better than HDMI, why still use HDMI when you have better performance port?

Thank you

I saw that the alienware has great software for the monitor... But lack of features on the monitor itself and is about rm300 pricier than asus..

Too bad on the dead pixel bro... Is it on a obvious location? But its sad cause what is seen cannot be unseen ahha....

Anywhere we can get it professionally calibrated? I have no idea on this... Monitor newbie..

Thanks for the impressions!! Yea been researching a lot on youtube and blurbusters... Seems like the vg259qm is the best choice in malaysia, priced well too... But still contemplating since i dont play esports games much... Mostly titanfall battlefield apex and very little valorant... Fps is from 120fps - 180fps max... You have any experience on this? 240hz still worth it?

My laptop msi gs65 has 144hz ips screen... But input lag and response time is slow i assume... am interested of 240hz screens and their gtg and input gains, not so much of the higher refresh.... And plugging to external monitor helps fps a bit so considering that....

Vg259qm or vg249q? Hhmmmm...

Hi, may I ask about ASUS monitor warranty.

Do they usually replace a new one for customers or will they "repair" the monitor?

*p/s: my monitor is ASUS VG27AQ, and currently it is bleeding, as in IPS Bleeding. Condition is quite serious as I could see the bleed even under bright condition.

My PG279Q IPS panel has burn in and part of the right side back light is dimmed.

Would there be any repair service to fix those issues? Don't mind paying

Hi Areyoudeaf,

We don't have repair center for the LCD monitor. Our monitor is came with 3 years warranty, if it is still under warranty, you can send it to service center for checking when the service center start operation again.

Thank you

Hi lewei P,

Hi, Asus Malaysia, May I ask for the monitor Pro Art PA279CV, if we connected via USB-C, we need to set the usb-c to 2.0 only able to reached 4k 60hz resolution ? if yes, when we switch the usb-c setting to 2.0 instead of 3.0, do it affect performance of other USB port or the data transfer of USBand USB-c Port?

Than You

Hi lewei,

Based on what written on the user manual page 25 & 26, yes it does affect when you change between USB2.0 and USB3.1.

Configures the USB Type C port setting. The USB
Setup parameter affects the output resolution only when the source is
connected to the USB Type C port. Due to the technological differences
between USB 2.0 and USB 3.1, THE maximum USB data throughput
(bandwidth and other related characteristics) varies and therefore
influences the maximum output resolution

* USB 3.1: The data transfer rate according to the 3.1 specification
in USB Type C port can only output the maximum resolution of
4K2K 30Hz.
* USB 2.0: The data transfer rate according to the 2.0 specification
in USB Type C port can output the maximum resolution of 4K2K
60Hz.

• The data transfer rate will remain USB 3.1 when using USB Type C to A
cable.
• The USB Setup setting does not affect the resolution if the source is
connected to the DisplayPort or HDMI port.

Thank you
