QUOTE(amduser @ Feb 25 2020, 05:52 PM) Wow... No problem even at full load? I checked in power colour website it started 700w I wonder is the driver stable now? I see a lot of review with driver crashing, wonder if it is fixed now Yup, mine has been working fine even at full gaming load Most OEMs or even AMD themselves often overrate their PSUs in order to accommodate lower quality PSUs in the market Driver issues is a non-problem for me, and my 5700XT has been gaming comfortably without issues at all

QUOTE(MPIK @ May 31 2020, 10:54 AM) Your 5700XT OK already? Mine is ASROCK Challenger 5700XT. When running games at high graphics, it have this grinding noise. Is that normal? Also, when I browsing Internet, watching YouTube etc, the fans are not spinning at all. Only while gaming, is started to spin. Is that normal? What grinding noise is that? Does it sound like electrical noise or something else? The fans not spinning during low load is pretty normal as your card is likely to have the zero RPM fan feature (to keep noise levels low)

QUOTE(DoomHammer @ Jun 15 2020, 10:04 AM) I would like to update my test on my Giagabyte RX5600XT gaming OC. Driver version 20.5.1: Very unstable. Blank screen happens in almost every games I tried. Driver version 20.4.2 (WHQL): More stable. Blank screen (sometimes PC reboot) happened in TF Fall of Cybertron (once) World and Final Fantasy XIII (once). The weird thing is black screen happened frequently during video playback (youtube and streaming movie from various sites like kissanime, kissasian, fmovie -no problem with netflix). I monitored using MSI afterburner, I noticed there was a spike of GPU usage before screen goes blank. I have to agree that AMD driver has not matured yet but I love this Navi GPU because it has feature to improve old games look. I replayed old games like TF Fall of Cybertron and FF XIII, the graphic is like 2019-2020 game after I enable the sharpening feature. Which version of Windows is this? If it's Windows 10 you should consider upgrading to version 2004 Mine has been working very nicely so far even on day one drivers, except for some sporadic crashes on games like Monster Hunter World (although Capcom did eventually fix the game)

QUOTE(MPIK @ Jun 15 2020, 11:22 AM) Windows 2004 seems that not very stable as reported in other tech sites. Not sure if they has fixed it or not Weirdly enough in my case despite Windows Update says it's not compatible for my machine, the update actually worked perfectly fine in my machine even I forced an update via the Update Assistant

QUOTE(Date Masamune @ Jun 17 2020, 06:52 PM) Is it worth getting the rx5700xt now? Like even if they release new gpu on september its gonna take awhile before the manifacturer version comes out and then probably take a while for driver issue to be sort out , not to mention pricing. But at the same time i dont want to be super outdated when the new gpu comes , dilemma dilemma If you can wait then you can always wait for Ampere/RDNA2, but might not be cheap and there are some rumors that Ampere is a very power hungry card (the consumer variant of Ampere is rumored to have 300W+ of TDP, IINM)

QUOTE(xavier7 @ Aug 30 2020, 08:28 PM) Newbie to AMD GPU here, stupid question, anyone of you on rx 5600 xt experiencing black screen / game stutter / other issues? (After all the driver updates and improvements lately) I'm on the fence on which GPU to choose below RM2K for 1080p gaming. Below 2K? Look for a Sapphire/PowerColor/Gigabyte 5700 XT if you can No issues so far, apart from sporadic crashes from Monster Hunter World that is (albeit this has been fixed for quite some time, and the game wasn't exactly a very optimized one on PCs)

QUOTE(xavier7 @ Aug 31 2020, 12:48 PM) Thanks for the reply that's encouraging. Did you do anything to fix the issues or it was smooth sailing all the time since the purchase? Are you using AMD or Intel cpu? (Mine's Ryzen 5 3600) Not much, apart from disabling Chrome hardware acceleration during the early days of ownership (I bought mine since day one the card's release) My current PC specs is in my signature, so yes I'm on a 3600 right now

QUOTE(terradrive @ Sep 13 2020, 07:50 PM) it is strong in overseas because rx5700xt is very cheap there, some countries even have price premiums on nvidia cards (for example 2070 super is 50% more expensive than rx5700xt there). Compared to malaysia, we got price slash and can get 2070 super for less than rm1.8k. Gaming wise just as fast, mining wise very easy to setup compared to amd, and just slightly slower. Funnily enough the pricing situation is the exact opposite here The 5700XT prices here seems to have a rather big premium over what overseas market charge for the same card, but the 2060/2070 Super is very competitively priced when compared to other markets This post has been edited by chocobo7779: Sep 14 2020, 05:15 PM

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 17 2020, 12:03 AM) Market share is too low in Msia, almost non-existent to give a damn i guess. 5700XT price was consistently lower compare to 2070/2070s but consumer still buy the latter. Now 2070/2070s price is cheaper or similar, no point to reduce the price for whole product stack unless they want to clear stock.. which i think not that many anyway. Not as premium looking as Nvidia 3080/3090 cooler but looks great imo. IINM, Igor's Lab seems to hint that there is a refresh of the RX5700/XT at a much lower price...

QUOTE(xxboxx @ Sep 19 2020, 10:36 AM) 6000 series announcement is 2 weeks after RTX 3070 start selling. I guess it means AMD card won't even able to compete with 3070. To be fair though, with the shortage and the capacitor issues plaguing the current crop of RTX GPUs, AMD can rest easy.... for now Also Navi 22 will likely to have a maximum clock speed of 2.5GHz https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-navi-21-to-...-navi-23-32-cus

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 17 2020, 08:47 PM) For sure, Radeon and Refresh xbleh berpisah. I need at least 5700XT/2070S tier upgrade for my new monitor. Hopefully that performance tier will drop around RM1k price range and hopefully i can afford it if it actually reach RM1k. 🤣 Probably the RX5700/XT will get refreshed as a different GPU, and priced them low enough as a replacement of their RX570/580

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 28 2020, 09:33 AM) The one Redditor found from MacOS11 beta kernel though, seems legit but memory bus/bandwidth seems too low for next gen GPU. Navi 22 - 2560 cores - 2.5ghz target clock speed - 192bit memory bus - DDR6 Navi 21 a.k.a Big Navi - 5120 cores - 2 or 2.2 ghz target clock speed for the better binned chip? - 384bit memory bus - DDR6/HBM2 IINM there's something like a 128MB/256MB Infinity Cache that is supposed to alleviate the bottleneck

A somewhat nice advantage for the RX6000 GPUs is that the fact it is quite a bit smaller and less power hungry than the Ampere GPUs which mean it should be great for smaller form factor PCs (mine included)

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Oct 31 2020, 07:39 PM) The panel QC on most consumer monitors (including gaming monitors) these days are a hit or miss (usually non-existent) - just go to any PC hardware forum and you'll see lots of complaints like IPS glow/BLB/flickering/others.... Even the ridiculously-priced monitors are not spared either I know there are some people eventually went for a LG OLED TV or even end up going back to a high end CRT (like the famous Sony FW900) after they gave up on waiting for a monitor with decent QC or just tired of playing the panel lottery (very common on AUO panels) The last years where panel manufacturers actually QC their panels was the early 2010s, mind you, and if you want a monitor with decent QC these days you'll have to pay very high prices for professional grade monitors (like those Eizos/HP Dreamcolor), but you can basically forget about gaming on it (it's meant for color critical work, not gaming)
