RDNA2 with HBM is not going to be happened.. May be CDNA products.
*
Most likely yes. Since this is from MacOs kernel, I guess it's one of the gpu for future Macpro or something.

I don't know how they package the die to work for both gddr6 and hbm2.

Massively bigger GPU die
2200mhz boost
80 CU
16GB RAM

Big Navi sounds like going to be really big.

In before you need 8k resolution for it to scale in performance. laugh.gif

There's rumour now the sneak peek AMD giving during Ryzen 5000 launching is not using it's flagship GPU.

Come to think about it, if AMD already show it's best GPU performance, it will not be exciting anymore when doing Radeon launching. Now people thought that's its max performance, when launching they show something even higher performance, sure will get people excited.
*
Source pls?
If RNDA2 CU scale linearly like in a perfect world, 80 CU will definitely perform higher than 3080 but from past experienced they never scale linearly.. not even close, even the mighty Nvidia couldn't make it happen on high core counts die.

Someone posted it earlier, as what I remember is 3.5k and above for sapphire. The another cheaper brand I have seem is biostar but it still cost like 3k for the rx6800. Please enlighten me if someone have more information.

I am interested in getting radeon 6000 card instead of Nvidia due to their higher vram but the cost was not make sense for now. I think it is definitely worth to grab if it can be nearer to msrp.
*
I suggest wait till January or February. Not worth it to spend extra premium for something inferior to 3080.

I checked that card is actually below MSRP. It cost $770 new according to TechPowerUp.
One of the best 6800XT on the market. Damn.

not a steal because it's approximately RTX3080 price

But 3080 is like RM500-RM800 more expensive and slower. hmm.gif

In Vulkan. If you switch to DX12 in RDR2, the 6800XT get more FPS compare to 3080 whether in Vulkan/DX12. hmm.gif

Recent reviews from TPU. Check 6800XT number not 6950XT

3080
- You need CUDA for your work
- play at 4K
- use RT in-game religiously
- need NVENC for livestreaming

6800XT
- faster at 1440p and lower
- use less power (60w-90w lower)
- cheaper
- more VRAM

This kinda makes up for the painful last 3 years, lol. I have no idea if they mispriced or anything, but seems like the Nitro is still there, around 2.1k+-

Found it. So tempting.. but I need a processor upgrade first.

6700 XT is RM1.8k now. I'm still contemplating whether I should go with 6700 XT or 3060 Ti.

My use case is such a mix bag.. I'm leaning towards 6700 XT more.

It's been that price for almost 3 months. Hopefully drop further soon.

If you got rm1.8k, just get 3070.

Do you have link for the 3070@Rm1.8k?
