QUOTE(noobianz @ Sep 26 2019, 08:39 PM) My gpu can barely breath with this casing. Prior to this i've used reference Rx 5700 xt, but the temperature is quite bad unless i undervolt it to 1050mv and 1850mhz target clock but still need to have the fan run @2600rpm for decent temp (80s edge, 100s junction) Any >200w GPUs will have thermal performance issue with setup like this imo. |

Strix is one of the best AIB's 5700XT though. Last i checked the price is around 2.2k instead of 2.5k on release day.

5600XT seems ok, very close to reference 5700 performance.
I wonder what is the price for Sapphire Pulse in Malaysia. Relative performance » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Power consumption » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(llk @ Jan 22 2020, 11:49 AM) Nice price, i read at TPU the card probably got more OC headroom but limited by software. At the same time overclocking Radeon GPUs nowadays usually don't yield much gain. I rather downvolt and maintain stock performance or slightly increase it. QUOTE(Songchien @ Jan 22 2020, 01:35 PM) If 5600XT is just a cut down version of 5700, I wonder why AMD did not release it earlier to fight GTX1660ti / RTX2060? Maybe they prioritized the die to 5700 1st. |

QUOTE(S4PH @ Jan 22 2020, 07:09 PM) Sapphire Pulse cooling performance looks great for it's price imo. They all super quiet so that's mean you can get better cooling ramping up the fans without sacrificing noise. I'm still waiting TPU to release Gaming X review and Goldfries on Thicc 2. ![]() One thing i really want to see is scaling between 5700 vs 5600 XT in games that known to use more than 6GB of VRAM like Monster Hunter World with 4k texture. Their performance with and without 4k texture enable. |

QUOTE(edmund_yung @ Jan 23 2020, 11:39 AM) Oh, that card max power limit is 160w as well like 1Click-OC. Even 2060 FE can go higher than that so expect lower performance number compare to any online benches. The cooler is not great too unless your room temp is like low 20s. |

QUOTE(S4PH @ Jan 23 2020, 05:51 PM) All 2060 will receive price cut iinm.2060 KO is a whole new SKU, it use TU104 which found in 2070/2080 Super and Steve from GN found that it perform much better in workstation workload compare to original 2060. |

QUOTE(S4PH @ Jan 23 2020, 07:30 PM) i wanted to post this video initially but scared since this is radeon thread lol. yesh some lucky users could get a tu-104 Haha, this is not a fanboy thread. What you mean by lucky user? All 2060 KO use TU104 die iinm.QUOTE(edmund_yung @ Jan 23 2020, 08:19 PM) Is there a way to increase the clock and power target in software, or flash the AMP firmware for it to go 190W? Not in software because the BIOS already locked at 160w. You probably can flash it with higher tier model BIOS but i'm not sure about that. Anyhow the exact 2060 is more expensive than the 5600XT in the US, but it is actually cheaper over here. Like what chocobo7779 said, greedy distributor. The 5600XT should be priced the same as the 1660 Ti. You might need to modify the cooler if you able to increase the power limit because the stock cooler is barely enough for 160w card. I think Nvidia MY able to lower their margin because their card is selling really really well compare to AMD here. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 5 2020, 04:39 AM) Thanks. Hope more locals can support the channel. I want to see how much it will affect 5600 XT performance with it gimped memory bus and VRAM capacity compare to 5700.But 4K texture on those cards? Wait I go buy RX 5700 XT first, got the MHW rewards. MHW with 4k texture can saturate my 980 Ti 6GB vram and frametime get worst when that happened. |

QUOTE(nrw @ Feb 5 2020, 01:14 PM) Just refer to benchmarks of games with textures exceeding 6GB. Now that you mentioned it, few games in Goldfries benchmark actually use over 6GB for 5700. Ghost Recon Breakpoint would be an example where even in FHD the 5700 has 49% better frame times than the 5600XT. Minimal gain in RDR2 but over 10fps in SOTTR and Breakpoint(i guess). |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 5 2020, 10:33 PM) 1440p?I choose MHW mainly because i want to see if there is performance drop when you enable the 4k texture at the same resolution and graphic details. If there is a performance drop i want to see if the drop on 5600XT gimped memory is larger compare to 5700. When i enabled 4k texture at 1080p i can feel the game is not quite smooth anymore and Afterburner showing 5.5GB-5.9GB of Vram usage. 5600XT Pulse price is kinda nice, i wonder if can save money by buying another 6GB GPU on 2020 instead of 8GB. I was originally aiming for 5700/5700 XT/2060S but too broke too afford one. QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 5 2020, 10:35 PM) That video is showing the FPS counter in game only - easy for people to gauge performance. Maybe you can enable Afterburner frametime graph in your future videos. Easier to see frametime fluctuation with it enable. You can refer to the product review below, I included 1% low ![]() You can show 0.1 percentile on OSD as well but you need to enable Benchmark Mode in RTSS settings iinm. Also this is a neat benchmarking software with Afterburner ingtegration. https://github.com/DevTechProfile/CapFrameX » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 6 2020, 03:54 AM) Aware of this, just decided not to enable it cos frametime graph I feel doesn't actually say much other than spikes, one wouldn't be able to magically compute. If that is your target audience, fair enough.Currently just showing average FPS for ease of comparison. For me personally think your latest comparison video is missing the card core clock and frame time graph for it to be informative. Average fps is an old metric that only show 1 part of the story imho. QUOTE(S4PH @ Feb 6 2020, 10:02 AM) Latest undervolting test on my 5700. I manage to max out my GDDR6 Slider to 1900 MHZ running super position. Noice. What model is that? Can you bypass that slider limit with MSI Afterburner or MorePowerTool or manually edit the soft power play table? |

QUOTE(nrw @ Feb 6 2020, 12:10 PM) Reference, with that UV he won't need to do any modifications using MorePowerTool. He's short of the max board power. Yeah right, just remember he went from 5700 XT ref > 2070s > 5700 ref. So Navi show total board power now eh? GJ @S4PH ! oh, just noticed your posted this earlier: Ye, the most powerful application should be OCAT for capture w/o overlay and CapFrameX for evaluation, very powerful and time saving options. TDP don't throttle VRAM clock iirc. Why you need OCAT when CapFrameX already come with PresentMon which is what OCAT use anyway. |
