Getting a good video quality without sacrificing performance can be daunting with OBS. Often the performance hit is pretty significant.
*
I've been using OBS with AMD's hardware encoding , the performance hit is much similar to ReLive (720p 60fps) , though I'm using a pretty old GC now (7850) , recording in CSGO seems to be okay , in heavy Graphics game , such as Dying light , the recorded video seems to have freezing issues while in game there weren't any issues. With a much higher end card I'm pretty sure it ain't a problem anymore.

Fun fact , I tried recording with ReLive in Dying Light just now , just when I stepped out of the base , the whole screen literally went Blue , and it restarted my pc , it wasn't a BSOD though.

Okay now. I just tested AMD Chill feature. It is not working with Dota 2 even when I am just watching those ranked match both in Vulkan and DX11. FPS still hovering around 120+ ~ 160+ fps

720p60 is easy, i can do that with MSI Afterburner with VCE. 1080p60 is whole different story with my 290x.

I5 4690k 4.5ghz
R9 290 flashed to R9 390 with mem mod. Core 1100 , Mem 1400
Running 1440p .

You're right. For Overwatch, Radeon Chill works. It drops the fps to 40 only when I don't move the mouse. Once I move the mouse , fps back to normal .

Damn, the game love strong single core performance i guess. laugh.gif

I noticed it said "Whitelisted game are manually selected", does that mean you can manually add game into the whitelist?

No need do anything whitelist. In Wattman tab, bottom area. Got 1 option call Global Chil. Just set On. Thts all.

For dota2, if i run with no vsync on for 1080p, all 4 core almost max out. But 1080p fps can spike till >200

Yup , I'm using that setting due to size/quality/ balance , if not I would do 1080p60 instead. Also just for casual recording anyway laugh.gif

Another year, another unlockable AMD GPU.
Overclocker enthusiast der8auer just released a couple of BIOSes that MAY unlock your Sapphire RX-460 4GB and Asus RX-460 4GB to a full fledge Polaris 11.

I guess it's worth to pay extra if it's unlockable. tongue.gif

LG has a 32 inch Ultrawide at 2560x1080 monitor.

Not sure whether there is free sync or not.
