If they really manage to solve the catching fire problem I would buy it. Will be getting a powerful phone for under 3k is great.

I would get the Note 7R leh, 50% means it's around...1.5 to 1.7k only. That's a great price given it's last year's flagship phone.

I can sell my Note 5 and top up a bit can get Note 7R liao. I wonder when are they coming to Malaysia.

Price wise not the same mang, U willing to fork out super duper huge amounts of money to buy Note 8, u go ahead lah, compared to some pipu who can only afford a certain amount ... Less than RM2K for a refurbished Note 7 is not a bad deal for most folks ...

Refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note7 already on sale in China

While officially, Samsung is saying that they have not yet decided on refurbished Galaxy Note7 launch schedule, the phone is already on sale in China. A Galaxy Note7R (R for refurbished) listing appeared on a Chinese retailer's website ahead of the actual announcement.

The listing reveals a price tag in the range of CNY 3,599-3,999 ($520-$580), which is around CNY 2,000 ($290) less than the original device's price. Further, the design of the refurbished model looks pretty much the same

The Note7R reportedly comes in two variants: one with 3,200mAh battery (aimed at Europe, the US, and Asia Pacific), and the other with 3,500mAh battery (the same capacity as the Note7). The latter is said to be a modified, small-volume version of the original battery.

I did consider about it before but would you really buy it considering there's only a couple millions and the uncertainty about it's future firmware update from Samsung.

If it is 50%, I possible buy it as second phone.

Isn't there a 6GB version? I wonder how many of 6GB produced before they halt the production due to battery problem.

Yep and for korean too. That time when Note7 released, 6GB version already confirmed. So probably there is stock for them to deliver.

Tbh, in term of perf, S8 not much differ than S7e and Note 7.
And i doubt Note 8 will be much differ.
To able to get slightly RM2k plus smartphone is really good.
Note 7R can even compete with most flagship in 2017 and stay relevant in the market for next 2 years.
I might sell my S7e if Note 7R ever come here.
Just wish the resale value of my hp didn't drop too much
