Hi, I just applied for a SC Visa Infinite but bank CS never mentioned the above promotions/free gifts as mentioned. Question is I dont see this card on Ringgit Plus, does it mean this card is not eligible for the promo?
*
Well the gifts are collaboration between ringgitplus and stand chart. There are some cards I believe, that are bank exclusive. You can check them with stand chart. But if they are not in ringgitplus, it means they are not eligible for the promo.

Even if they are in ringgitplus, if you see carefully, only selected cards from stand chart are eligible for the promo.

Hi all. I have a question regarding SCB JOP. The cash back mechanism is a little confusing. It says must withdraw. Does it mean let's say I spent 9000 a mth, which is rm90 cb a mth. So my 9000 won't auto offset with the rm90 CB, making me only payable for 8910.

It's confusing because other banks CB directly credit to your credit card balance.

Just pay according to the statement amount to avoid any penalty or interest charges. The cashback will offset in your next statement.

Then what does it mean by earning interest on my cash back. Any sifu here.

I have not gotten my card yet.

U need to redeem the cashback urself for it to credited to ur credit card acc.. normally it will credit within same day of ur redemption and it will offset ur outstanding balance.. for SCB, cashback is part of ur payment, n do take note that JOP Max cashback per month is RM85. U need to spent RM2500 per calendar month where RM567 must be petrol, or autodebit or online txn..
*
Redeem? Where or how can I redeem it? SCB app?

For the 2500, I plan to dump all to bigpay so I won't have any issues with 2500.

Hi there. I am waiting for the approval process. How long did it take for yours to be approved. I applied them too, just for RinggitPlus and BigPay purpose.

Oh god SC CC application is so annoying. They need me to go to the EPF center with them to print out the EPF statement in front of them and pass it to them, because:
1. they don't trust the EPF statement I provided
2. they don't trust the salary slip I provided

Then when I tell them I have to work no time for that shit, they wanna call my office to verify my employment status, but they won't accept any phone numbers I give them and insist that I give them a link to my company's website that has an "official" phone number.
There's no such link coz my company's website doesn't list company phone number. This is 21st century, I ask them to email to the company instead to liaise but they say they can't, not even when I give them the HR manager's contact.

And when I request to email me instead of call coz I'm overseas roaming, they still call. zzz too much work for 1 CC application, and the staff is rude also.
Won't be surprised they reject my application, they really don't know how to do this properly.
*
SC personnel also called me. Seems they don't trust my EPF statement too. However it seems they do have the EPF printing device. They bring the device to my office. U can call them to bring the device over. Since mine is MNC, they are ok with me. Got my card yday.

Looking to apply for the JOP and/or MCB, would like to clarify if I were to apply for both I need to spend RM20,000 per card for the annual fee waiver? If to select either card then JOP would be more have better CB % right?
*
Deleted coz someone says it's abusive using it for bigpay.

My bad. He was asking how to reach threshold for CB.

Many of us, including me, got this card when our salary is barely 3k (annual requirement 24k). Low salary ppl like us can never reach 20k annual spending. So only way is Bigpay.

Of coz, he can call and try asking for waiver. I got it first round. Now with Bigpay, confirm 20k so no issues with waiver.

Hmm, I applied and got my JOP card in Oct, spent MYR 2501 on BP on 25 Oct, the bill came in today but there's no cashback value. I tried to redeem online but it says 0 cashback. Is this normal? When will I see the cashback , or is BP not eligible anymore?

Always next statement as I believe.

I just notice. I have the same issue with another forumer here. I pay my stand chart statement balance via public bank ebanking selecting instant transfer. But for the past 30mins, my standard chartered app still show balances unpaid. As this is a new card, so it will definitely zerolise since I don't have new transaction.
Maybank2u app always show immediately the remaining balance when I pay my maybank cards using PB ebanking

Some banks are slow. UOB and Stan Chart I believe don't reflect immediately. Similarly PBB I've had delays before even with 'instant' transfer.
*
Really for uob too? Well I used to pay uob using IBG last time. Cancelled it before instant transfer became free so I guess it's the same. I used to pay from cimb until my account got hacked. Now I transfer evythg to PBB. Previously, my cimb pay to PBB credit card also reflected immediately. First time seeing its not reflected.

QUOTE(mamamia @ Nov 16 2018, 08:52 PM)
Just check ur credit limit, it will increase as per ur payment amount..
Even u pay from SCB CASA to CC also won’t reduce ur outstanding balance.

As I know, UOB CC also same, won’t reduce until next day
*
My credit limit still the same. Didn't increase. Well gotta wait till it refreshes then.

PBB is instant update..

Weird, normally I can see my credit limit increase incentive payment made.

Finally it has been updated. Guess SCB has a slowpoke system that only updates after some time or end of day.

Anyway thanks all
