share some story about waiver...

July i get statement of my SST but i didnt get annual fees..
so i called the bank and ask, if i get annual fees waiver...

my option is, if i do not get waiver i will not continue i just cut both card..
so bank told me its not posted ask me wait august statement...
here the catch , if i wait august statement, i will kena interest for rm25 x 2 card for sst late payment...
If i pay RM50 then i get annual fees, i cut the card i rugi rm50..

So the bank told me SST will not have interest, if got interest its glitch i can ask for waiver...

so now august statement out, i kena SST + interest late charges + annual fees...
so i called again ask waiver, they told me annual fees both card can waive... then tell me SST cant waive.. i said ok, how about interest late charges... they said cant waive because i late payment didnt pay SST.. this is financial late charges..
Then some argument happen like the CS dont know what i trying to tell.

I told the CS my situation again, and i said previous officer told me SST no interest charges, now you told me SST i didnt pay so i kena pay interest.. is totally 2 diff story, i ask them refer back previous my call record and if got voice record clip please open.. i already emphasize said SST interest can be waived or not? the officer said can...

So she said will check with the officer and tomorrow they will give me a call... anyone have same prob as me?

1. Haven't heard of any unpaid balance where interest is waived.

2. can and cant, in some slang (as in, "ken" and "kent"), sound almost identical. I think US use "kent" while UK use "karnt", so it depends what English the CS use. normally I use "cannot" over the phone to avoid disputes.

you need to recall how the entire interest-free statement was communicated to you. Was it "will not have interest" or "can be waived"? or just bulldoze through and insist you're right.

I use UK sllang.. But I repeat with do not /cannot /will not which make it more emphasis on the result

why don't you just pay off the SST and later wait for them to give you rebate?
they only waive interest on those has been waived.
for my case is AF charged and i didn't realise and almost 19 days after statement date i only realise the AF is there right just on the statement date...
immediately call for waiver and successfully waived and shown in unbilled transaction on 20 days after statement, but the problem is the next statement shown interest charge on AF and unbilled transaction, therefore call for interest waiver but rejected...
after appeal then only the interest waived as the AF already waived before the next statement generated...

like HLB SST50, we don't know when they will credit back the rebate but the best thing is pay for something that can't be waived, some CS word can't be trust, at the end you might able to get the SST interest waived but not on those unbilled transaction as your SST still hasn't been paid...

Cz I don't know if I kena AF or not.. If I pay n kena AF I discontinue then I rugi sst lo

For my case is petrol RM181.80 get cb RM27. And I calculated some other forum members case same...rounded down to nearest ringgit. For your case, online 30, petrol insurance 29.87, you shoud get RM30+29 only, RM1 might be come from setel(RM1.5 rounded to RM1)
For me ngam ngam RM2500 is dangerous, always go abit above. E.g bp RM2200 + RM400 etc etc
Regardless of SST or transaction. Outstanding posted on statement date must be cleared... dont not ever gamble on that. Whatever rebate/waiver that come later can always be claimed later. My advise is do not gamble on the RM25 or RM50 even it can be waived later. PAY ALL YOUR STATEMENT BALANCE each month.

I pay all statement la.. My statement need to pay is sst only.. But the charges is what I swipe during that month + sst to calculate interest..
