only to check that despite my anniversary is december. i got charged annual fee in january of RM175, 1 month after the service tax.

then i have to call in to stan chart ask for annual fee waiver, then say only can give 50%, then ask me take balance transfer if want 100% fee waiver. i didnt bother asking what rate is the BT or whatever. i'm just not interested with Stan chart.
*
I'm always wary of their annual fee. So every year when I cancel my card and retention calls, I ask for both GST and Annual Fee. There was once I called before anniversary and CS said subjected to approval, so i went ahead to cancel and wait for retention.

I think been a few months no decent SCB offer with Ringgitplus. I also took direct from SCB website, RM600. The turnaround quite fast, within 3.5 months will get reward.

I’m curious, why SCB so lenient with this? Why not increase waiting period to 12m or more? I’ve already in and out 3 times over 2 years. What do they get from me? The moment I get the reward I cancel. I do not see any repercussions either.
*
Each time also $600 gift? I guess not many people are doing this. Once everyone starts doing this, they will revise accordingly, like what they did with their Just 1Platinum cashback.

I don't see a lot of difference. Just 1Platinum $60x24 months = $1440. Add a bit of mid year and year end campaign winning and retention offer, more or less the same. Not to mention, those with superb spending power can earn another $50x24 from Liverpool and x amount from Smart.

My January (05.01.2023) Statement shows Cashback gain (21.01.2023) for November 2022

But my February Statement (05.02.2023) doesnt show any December 2022 cash back, anyone has similar problem ?

The summary at bottom page also shows +0 cash back.

Why is SCB clarifying this? The merchants are self imposing minimum charge because there is a fix fee for every transaction.

SCB will be happier if there is more small transactions

Hi guys, just want to confirm how does it work for cash back if we spend RM2.5k on ewallet for sure we will get the RM20. For petrol and grocery do we need to spend each for another RM2.5k to get 15% Cashback?

Selected ewallet and groceries only, not all.

Owh ok. Thanks.

Follow up question : means we have to pay the annual fee first? If cs blur and forgot to waive means lose money lo
*
CS should place it in their system during the call. I can't think of any other ways of doing this because I don't expect CS to write it down on a piece of paper for each customer with the amount of calls they handle everyday.

When I dealt with Simply Cancel CS, they told me already put in the system while I was still on the phone with them. And I requested before Annual Fee was charged.

Exactly. The 2 times i didnt get SMS were my final 2x100 to reach 2500. That's why didn't bother to try further.

hello, i might missed reading the post. Grocery and Dining considered single category? ie max RM15 cashback for these two categories combined? thanks.

i spent more than 150 on petrol, and more than 150 on lotus, then quite a few dining total >100. cashback rm40 only hehe.
*
Should be $20 per category, i.e. Grocery Dining combined == 20, Petrol == 20. You mixed up 15% with $15? I'm beyond shocked you didn't do eWallet.

So if still want to remain the card, no choice but to pay SST?

Unless you're T20 or T10, that's the only way. If I don't have memory leak, there are people who gets rebate by merely asking. I assume those are high net worth people.

And yeah, i just got triggered when someone says such "rebate" is only for the wealthy and high net worth person.

oh? Many asked for rebate before but never get. So there must be something special with those who gets without going through the cancellation-retention path.

Even when i asked about annual fee, they said subjected to approval. So i just went ahead with the cancellation path.

To cancel SCB credit card dont know how many times i have to live chat them.

RM200 spending within 2 months - for the cashback offer to get RM100.

To be eligiblle for a waiver:
annual fee : use 3x transaction within 14 days,
service tax: use 3x transactions within 2 months,

but not entitled for above offer cashback if you wish to get the offer for a waiver, instead

dont know maybe live agent just think i am stupid or what
*
In the midst of all their offers, I also lost getting $25. But I think I'll just live with it, got $100 + $25 for retention of 2 cards.
