What i heard from cc agent, it is best you get local bank credit card first before apply scb card.
because scb did reject applicant due to no credit card record.

i think u got mistake in the spending requirement.
*1st year annual fee waive and subsequent years waived with minimum spend of RM60,000 p.a.

Dont have retention department for scb. But do have retention offer sometime.
As i know all handle by same call centre agent also.
Maybe if u request for cancellation, higher management will review ur request and see if can provide u waiver.
