oh? Many asked for rebate before but never get. So there must be something special with those who gets without going through the cancellation-retention path.

Even when i asked about annual fee, they said subjected to approval. So i just went ahead with the cancellation path.

Every time can ask for it, it just subject to their approval only.
Pretty sure nothing to do with income category and each card holder also their customer.

for those linked SCB card to Apple Pay before, were you able to get refund eg when cancelling booking or cancelling purchases?

I cancelled a hotel boooking in Klook, and I made the payment via Apple Pay which linked to SCB card, but now is Klook has issued refund which their CS shown me the proof, but the refund is yet to be seen in the card statement, this has been more than a month already

I’m still seeing but based on some of the comments here, it’s not visible to everyone. Not sure how and why.

This is my view:

The click to chat offering to premium/priority segment only. Or infuture they might change to priority based on local scb decision.
Perhaps one of the cut cost measure to reduce customer service load, now mostly ask to raise ticket and wait response only.

I need some advise. My bro is applying for standard charted through ringgitplus, to get RM1000 if submit using EPF statement. But the SC agent called back stating that since his job recently changed 3 months ago, and there's no EPF statement showing 6 months of income in the same company, the agent rejected and say that only can give RM600 (thru submission of payslip). Even when my bro gave the previous year EPF statement, it is useless.

My question is, I thought the RM1000 is given by ringgitplus? how does SC have the authority to decide whether he gets rm1000 or rm600? As he already submitted based on the requirement below.

And based on SC salaried requirement, it just reflects latest 3 months EPF contribution, and nothing about needing 6 months in the same company.

Just received call ask me why im cancel. they give me cashback RM125 if i use 200 above this month.
And i concern about the annual fee.
Then he said annual fee normally can full waive, just do the online
It can be done through mobile app -> help & services -> Credit Card fee waiver -> pick annual fee.
then tnc just use 3 time and will get full waive (he said, donno really or not. as u know, every CS not same)

I ask why some only got half waive, he said because they call CS for rebate but not using apps.

Now i accept offer then see how....
laugh.gif hope not fell in trap

App waiver is 100% yes.

unfortunate the new revised benefit and higher entry requirement for cards made SCB no longer attractive.

QUOTE(sjz @ Mar 11 2025, 01:11 PM)
Simply Cash totally removal of E-wallet cash back.
Left CB for Grocery Dining and Petrol only .

1st increase min Monthly salary to 8k.
And make it difficult to waive AF.
Nw cut CB benefits.

I think we can hav a club on their eventual decision and plan on Malaysia market

SCB goal for global markets is to focus affluent customer. Same across other markets.

It's been a while since I see any sign-up promotion for SC cards.

change of company direction, scb more focus on the affluent customers now.
higher entry income for basic card make the card not appealing at all.

Not going to happen. CS is non existence, how to target the elite group?
*
CS should be there, i think only mass market (the non-elite) customer get prompted to use selfservice and ended call. Should affluent customer status then it will redirected into queue. (at least it was what i encountered)
and i believe elite group all have their own dedicated relationship manager assigned.

afterall i see selfservice is convenient as long it works, just take few working days.
