ok..u just google around the file..
first update to 3.52 m33-4.
then update to 3.71 m33. after that update to 3.71 m33-3. and then update the 1.5 V2 kernel.
google around the easy installer for that.

Hi, i'm sorry. Can you please tell me why do i need to update the 1.5 V2 kernel? I've just update from 3.40OE to 3.71 m33 now.
Thank you

FAT32 will make the mspd slower a lot, regardless of ori or not ori
which is why I doubt, how well will the 8GB mspd (ori and fake) perform on PSP hmm.gif
*
It says on the Sony website that their 8GB memory card have the following specs:
Transfer Speed (parallel transfer) 160Mbps@i20MB/secj@(Theoretical maximum speedj

Minimum Write Speed: 15Mbps@iwhen combined with optimized Memory Stick PRO format-compatible devicesj

Where else the Sandisk MSPD Ultra II can only achieve Read/Write performance: 10MB/sec. So which is better in term of performance. I wanted to get a 8GB card to store games, movies and songs into my PSP. Any Advice?

QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Nov 16 2007, 11:21 AM)
Best way of achieving fast MSPD speed is by formatting it to FAT16 thru DOS or any other program besides the normal Windows format tool. Windows format tool does not permit you to format to FAT16 anything larger than 2GB.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/118335

Steps to formatting:
1. Backup your MSPD (everything from the root directory even if it's an empty folder)

2. Go to DOS. Enter format /fs:fat <mspd-drive-letter>

3. Your MSPD will now be empty. Copy back everything you backed up into the MSPD.

P/s: After I format using FAT, GTA and FIFA08 wasn't laggy anymore. thumbup.gif If you use the internal MSPD formatter in the PSP, it will format to FAT32.

Original MSPD is more reliable than fakes but I recommend to buy SanDisk as it is faster even than the original Sony MSPD (and cheaper too!).

Does SanDisk MSPD exceeds the performance of Sony's?

latest firmware use PTF theme... so if you just download any ptf format. it would not do any harm to your psp.
just put all your ptf theme in PSP/THEME/

theme that would brick ur psp is theme that containing rco's and prx files. that kind of theme is best to use with cxmb plugin if you afraid to flash ur psp.

things that would brick ur psp is just the flash0 and else.. so anything related to flashing..just ignore it if u dont know anything about it.

PSP
Network Setting > Infrastructure mode > New connection > Scan

Select Access point to be use

SSID | Security | Signal Strength
xxxxx | WEP | xx%

This mean your router had enable the WEP security

I'm sorry but can you please explain about the cxmb plugin? I have the PTF theme in my PSP and they aren't as nice as the themes i saw which replicate the PS3/Xbox themes. My concern is that after reading many horror stories about flash0 and what not, I think i better make sure whether it's safe to install those themes. Some said that as long as the theme has the same firmware version with your PSP then it's ok to use. Any explaination on this?
Thanks

Well.. horror stories like bricking the PSP after applying themes to flash0 and also some corrupting flash1.
You can google them out

google cxmb 2.5, so far it works for me at 3.71.. and yes u need specific theme for specific firmware because that theme will replace your firmware files.. different firmware got different files.. by cxmb..u dont need to replace the file in your flash.. just copy to mspd.. so no harm to your psp. even if the theme is corrupted.. you can just delete the files from mspd.. and reboot, it goes to normal.. or just disable the plugin from recovery menu.
