FAT32 will make the mspd slower a lot, regardless of ori or not ori
which is why I doubt, how well will the 8GB mspd (ori and fake) perform on PSP
It says on the Sony website that their 8GB memory card have the following specs:which is why I doubt, how well will the 8GB mspd (ori and fake) perform on PSP
Transfer Speed (parallel transfer) 160Mbps@i20MB/secj@(Theoretical maximum speedj
Minimum Write Speed: 15Mbps@iwhen combined with optimized Memory Stick PRO format-compatible devicesj
Where else the Sandisk MSPD Ultra II can only achieve Read/Write performance: 10MB/sec. So which is better in term of performance. I wanted to get a 8GB card to store games, movies and songs into my PSP. Any Advice?

Best way of achieving fast MSPD speed is by formatting it to FAT16 thru DOS or any other program besides the normal Windows format tool. Windows format tool does not permit you to format to FAT16 anything larger than 2GB.

Steps to formatting:
1. Backup your MSPD (everything from the root directory even if it's an empty folder)
2. Go to DOS. Enter format /fs:fat <mspd-drive-letter>
3. Your MSPD will now be empty. Copy back everything you backed up into the MSPD.
P/s: After I format using FAT, GTA and FIFA08 wasn't laggy anymore.
If you use the internal MSPD formatter in the PSP, it will format to FAT32.
Original MSPD is more reliable than fakes but I recommend to buy SanDisk as it is faster even than the original Sony MSPD (and cheaper too!).
Does SanDisk MSPD exceeds the performance of Sony's?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/118335
