The battery expert I was refering to is http://www.batteryuniversity.com which is also a reference in that guideline from Wiki.

The guideline from Wiki stated:
Unlike Ni-Cd batteries, lithium-ion batteries should be charged early and often.
Lithium-ion batteries should never be "deep-cycled" like Ni-Cd batteries.

So it's advisable to charge the PSP often. Letting the battery discharge completely or to very low battery capacity before recharging reduces the Li-Ion battery's lifetime.
*
Yah lithum-ion battery should be charge like the way they mention! But they are still a lot of ppl dunno about it! They tend to charged it when it has totally depleted of energy! They are shortening their battery life instead of expanding it!

When the battery is fully charged, the orange power LED will turn off.
I suggest that you upgrade to 3.71 M33-3 because it fixed bugs found in the earlier version.

Need help from all the sifus in here. I just bought a psp slim and it's running 3.71 m33-3 custom firmware. I wanted to run some homebrews (emulator and pdf reader). I put the files in the GAME150 folder as per the instructions but it does not work. The error message is "The game could not be started. (80020148).

Anyone can help me solve this problem? I was so looking forward to run a few homebrews  cry.gif

I've answered your question in the other thread. Don't post the same question multiple time in multiple thread.

During lunchtime I went to sell my Halo 3 at sg wang...did a recon of the prices for PSPs there...holy SHIT!

Expect to be quoted prices as high as RM 930 for a PSP Slim+2Gb MSPD!

And good luck asking for "original firmware"...

BTW, is there any harm upgrading from custom firmware to the sony latest?

Yes you can, but some shops are charging outrageous prices for upgrading the firmware. It's up to you to decide whether you want to pay someone else to do it for you or save some money by doing it yourself.

It's easy enough to do it on your own if you follow the instruction step by step. It took me less than a minute to upgrade to 3.71 M33-3.

I think the chances of bricking is quite slim since upgrading from 3.71 M33-2 to M33-3 involves running the update program which will overwrite only a few files in flash0.

If you're still afraid, go to those reputable shops such as GS, SCE, PSZ.

wat is i mean is if i use the ahem game can still play the game online like original example game like monster hunter ? and is the homebrew psp can play all region of the psp movie even if my psp not same with the umd region ?
*
basically there is 2 type.. multiplayer worldwide or local.. as i know.. monster hunter is local.. either ad-hoc with friend.. or via xkai(online multiplayer)

for the CFW.. region is not a problem anymore..

since its no need access flash0 using usb so the chance is so small will cause the brick.. except when u updating the psp suddenly turn off.. or mspd got problem of reading..

i juz thinking.. i got nand dump got 3.71m33-2 . But currently on 3.71m33-3 , its necessary to create nand dump for 3.71m33-3?

i think no need to go to m33-2, just straight to m33-3 and kernel 1.5 v2 update.
but the process from 3.4 is quite long since u need to update it to 3.52 m33-4, then only u can go to 3.71. sweat.gif sweat.gif
