So guys... Can somebody recommend me a shop in Penang which can help me convert my firmware to the latest OE firmware?

DIY lorr.. ehehe.. penang got game shops.. but they only sells.. not play.. huhu..

Your advise is still DIY?
But I am still a noob in this PSP thinggy... I just want to have it all done and I can download whatever "ahem" games and play on my PSP..

Depends on the person who'll do it for u... I think bernard can flash for u. Not sure how much, but i think it'll be under RM100. I think...

Yes, Bernard is too far for u to go just to flash the firmware. I'm also far from his shop.

Umm, go to battery info, and see how many hours left at FULL charged. if it shows 7 hours (1800mAH), i think it's ori. fake / 3rd party only shows 5++ hours at most (2200mAH & 1800mAH).

And yes, it's possible that u won't get an original mem stick.

Yeah.. that's what I got from one shop.. It says you have to leave it for 2 days. They claim they need to send it to technician. They do not have technician in the shop.
It only takes 10~15mins to complete the firmware updates?

Yup, if i'm not mistaken. Bernard did it in front of me. Quite simple actually... but then, he has everything preloaded in a bunch of (original) mspd.
