This morning I will receive a UPS (backup battery) for DVR and its camera.

Does it worth?  RM 200+ and able to sustain 20 minutes after electricity cut-off.
The duration does not include monitor /TV, only DVR and cameras.

Just received it.  It is PowerStar NEO 800, capacity is 800VA.....it has 3 socket for output.  It is not as good as yours, but it is cheap.

I learnt my lesson from this. Never go cheap on power supply or any electrical equipments that got fire risk. Bought cheap one forgot what brand years ago from all it. When i was showering at night. Suddenly blackout, went to the db to check the switches. Then i saw something bright from under the door in one of the room using that thing. Opened the door. That thing was on fire. Luckily i was at home that time. Bomba came and said the transformer of that thing might cause it.

Not saying yours is bad. Cheap doesnt mean it is not good. Just check on that brand whether it is ok or not based on feedback.

Hello..
in my foyer there is 1 light point on the ceiling..
I plan to install CCTV (Aqara/EZVIZ) with 2 way communication.. since i dont really need to install light there..
Is it advisable to do so? Any recommended camera that can use AC power?.. Saw some video online.. for this smart camera, they are using type C camera and it looks really stupid with the cable dangling around hahaha.. Is there a proper way to do it?

(I planned to use the existing AC power point provided cause dont want to make extra mess or a lot of effort to install smart camera outside.)

Is it plaster ceiling? If not you will need a box to store the DC12 or DC5V adapter. There is also some special make cover that fit perfectly to the camera back for adapter storage if it's a concrete ceiling.

Yeah. Its a plaster ceiling.
I’m planning to get the Aqara camera since im using Aqara smart lock as well. Or another option EZVIZ.
The DC12 adapter i need to buy something like the 3pin adapter? Or is there any other way to hide the cable?
