QUOTE(dikae @ Dec 17 2017, 11:19 AM) Ppl who go for 256 are mostly those who buy and use it couple of years (probably won't do backup for a few years too On my 6+ 64gb, free space had been hovering around 29-32gb even after 3 years of usage. Regularly cleaning up unwanted photos/videos and whatsapp 'spams' helps keep the storage free space healthy. |

QUOTE(Trrienty @ Jan 26 2018, 03:11 PM) Maxis came out with iphone Zerolution plan today but need to pay advance payment of RM4500. I thought zerolution means for 0 upfront payment lol This really defeats the purpose of having Zerolution if need to pay huge advance payment. Might as well get normal contract, pay less some more. This post has been edited by Fjive: Jan 26 2018, 06:12 PM |

Dropped by Maxis center just now after dinner wanted to find out more, here's what I understand from the staff's explanation...
Advance payment has to be paid via Credit card (0% EPP available), so subscriber pay the bank via 12/24 months installment. The Advance Payment amount will then be deducted from your monthly bill. (the same 24 months contract applies for Zerolution plan) The way i look at it, customer now owe the bank and not maxis. Maxis 'protected' from customer 'running away' with their iphones since they already got their money from the bank. |

QUOTE(realitec @ Jan 28 2018, 01:56 AM) QUOTE(attw @ Jan 28 2018, 08:50 AM) Then it really shouldn't be called Zerolution because the advance payment is higher than buying the device upfront on a normal contract That's true, that's why i see this as protecting Maxis against their past bad experience. Good thing i see is Advance payment has EPP option, so no need pay 2.5k/3.5k one shot. For Zerolution (Android), we pay maxis every month. For Zerolution (iPhone), we pay Bank every month (Either 12 or 24 months thru EPP). No need pay for Maxis since it will be deducted/rebated from Advance payment. But have to put all this in a spreadsheet to get the bigger picture... |

QUOTE(nickelkadmium @ Jan 29 2018, 10:38 PM) For example i take the zerolution under macis 128 plan for IPX. If you are taking iPhone X 64gb, you pay 4500 to bank (Can be EPP or Full payment, 12 vs 24 months installment).Monthly payment stated is 153/month. So i will need to pay 153/month to the bank and 128 to maxis? Your Maxis monthly bill is 128+153+GST= 297.86. You dont have to pay anything up til 15th month as Maxis rebate 4.5k from your monthly bills. Hope my understanding is correct, best you walk in to Maxis store to ask more |

QUOTE(attw @ Feb 1 2018, 07:57 AM) Yeah, I asked yesterday and this was the same reply the CS rep told me. When I asked him why he just shrugged his shoulders and said don't know, management decision Actually quite a lot of confusions over this also, the staff couldnt explain clearly and the supervisor had to check alot of things from her laptop before able to answer my questions |

QUOTE(vivaldi @ Sep 22 2019, 10:04 AM) I checked with Maxis. My Zerolution end next month but I am eligible to re-contract this month. No penalty. You only get penalty if you cancel early and not renewing the contract. Did maxis say can re-contract up to how many months earlier before current zerolution contract finish? |
