Instead of calling names, can I just ask you whether you know for sure though your point of reference is last year’s iteration, that it would be those amounts? Or perhaps, you work in a telco and are spilling the beans? If not, do not mislead which is my point or perhaps you could follow how the other forummers respond initially which the uninformed will then grasp more. But again, by your demeanour, it may be difficult for you to do so.

Did they only reveal the plans on the day itself for the iPhone 11 series last year?

IINM, they revealed it the same time as they open the pre-order.

Maxis Contract : RM3,952

estimating for iPhone 12 Pro (256GB)

Apple Official : RM5,399
Maxis Contract : ~RM3,752 probably.

I'm still waiting for 5G news and whether it is coming in 2021. I don't know what is happening in the US. But AT&T is having 5G speeds slower than 4G. I hope when Malaysia launches, we are going to be better. Like South Korea better...

Oh wow, I rmb during the older days, all telcos including maxis would reveal their plans few days before the pre-order starts. Didn't know they changed their practice where it would only be revealed on the pre-order day itself

It's quite silly really. Everyone will be clogging up the system, contemplating and choosing a plan to subscribe to hence why the queue system is overloaded resulting in crashes.

but i think the savings from the discount is not much now when compare to the era prior to ip6.
i gave up getting the plans and directly get the fon and a prepaid plan is much more worth it.

If got subsidy from company definitely is worth it

5G won't be a thing here till 2022 if we're lucky. Even our 4G speeds are nowhere near our neighbor down South.

Ya, for some folks who get a subsidy on their monthly phone bill, it makes sense to sign up for a plan and get a device on discount

i wish i could do that too XD but my company give me a android phone (last available OS update was 1 year ago, and office apps keep crashing) with plan so cannot go with personal 1.

Hahaha, same, joined a new company this year and they provided me with a cheapo Android phone with no fingerprint reader and 2GB RAM, hahaha. I returned it to them and said I'll just put their SIM card into my own phone
