If you use a lot of calls you can go with One Plan 98, 5GB and unlimited calls and texts. Of course, if you don't make a lot of calls then Surfmore 50 is perfect
Surfmore 50 has been discontinued already.Maxis iPhone Discussion Thread V9, It Keep on Rolling!!

I wonder why they discontinued surfmore 50. Are they gonna replace surfmore with a new plan? Because now it seems that the cheapest postpaid plan offered by maxis should be Maxis One Plan 98 ?

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 30 2016, 08:52 AM) Yeah, previously I had One Plan 128 with 3GB and a Surfmore 50 with 2GB for my iPad, then when they up the quota of One Plan 128 to 10GB, I cancelled my Surfmore 50 and subscribed to their Multi-sim plan (for additional RM15 a month, I get another sim card that shares data quota with my One Plan). As you mentioned, the cheapest plan right now is RM98 for a principal line, but if I want to I can get a supplementary line for just RM48, 5GB data with unlimited calls and texts, which is quite a good deal, but since the iPad has no ability to make or receive calls, I'll leave it as it is for now. Though kinda regretted terminating the Surfmore 50 now that it's been discontinued But I wonder what's their strategy? Because they actually upgraded the surfmore 50 package data for existing users but removed it from new subscribers. It looks like now Maxis is only focusing on "high-end / premium" customers as the cheapest is RM98 per month for their postpaid planLike you mentioned, the new CEO seems to be taking maxis in a different direction. Not only are there no more plans for tablets (like Surfmore), I don't see tablets being offered from maxis as well. |

Does Maxis still handle warranty claims of iPhone or we are now supposed to go to any AASP like Machines / Mac City to do warranty claims?

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Nov 21 2016, 11:15 AM) One thing that never fails the amaze me is that people are still going back to them even after complaining of pricey plans and uncompetitive packages. Well, that's because of the network speed and coverage they offer. Many ported out in the first quarter of the year due to the case that went viral but many are porting back into Maxis again now |

QUOTE(Pat89 @ Oct 16 2020, 07:27 AM) Usually if pavilion, can enter like 8am or something? Just worried that the guard won't allow to enter the mall. With CMCO in effect I doubt they would do any in store pre-order. I predict they will do all pre-orders online I wish I can order online but onlt credit card is acceptable for monthly instalment, otherwise will require to walk in for billing. |

Hi guys, planning to move towards eSIM when i get the i12. Any pros and cons to it? Is it recommended to move towards eSIM or better to use the physical sim card? Thanks

QUOTE(attw @ Oct 27 2020, 10:04 AM) Thanks bro! AppreciatedQUOTE(silrave @ Oct 28 2020, 12:38 AM) Some people are already paying a monthly plan of 98 / 128 / 158. Therefore, it makes sense for them to sign a 2 year contract package to get the phone at a subsidized price. |

QUOTE(ahlin @ Oct 31 2020, 08:21 PM) Some time I wish they can reveal their plan earlier for the sake on consumer. ![]() Your wish has granted. QUOTE(meltan @ Oct 31 2020, 08:37 PM) Oh wow, I rmb during the older days, all telcos including maxis would reveal their plans few days before the pre-order starts. Didn't know they changed their practice where it would only be revealed on the pre-order day itself |

Wow this totally sucks. I went in and it said my account is not supported by Maxis Online Store. After that, I used a different number, it went thru. After that when choosing the account that I wan it to be contracted. Everything is greyed out except for adding a new phone line.
