I may be wrong about the holder. But it's still very much government.
Who are the majority holder of asb, asb2? whistling.gif
Principal + dividend + instant liquidity (fixed price remember? brows.gif)
Asalkan still making profit + no warning letter from BNM, who cares. Unless you also looking to dump FD? laugh.gif

top up AS1M very easily ... 20k, while ASW and ASM zero. currently my ASNB almost >70% is in AS1M, sorry newbie here, how does switching in ASNB work? 1 to 1 if unit available?
*
Ask for ASX FP "A". When they ask how are you going to pay, produce book "B"

Thanks man. smile.gif
Finally I got it. Next time gonna pick "right time" to top up, like nearby the end of each month.
*
For topping up, best is any day cause what happen if end of the month/on the 1st you cannot get the dividend. Then wait next month and next month when in between there are units available. Unless of course you have help then you can topup on end of the month and 1st.

guy3288 I agree. If you cannot beat ASX FP 2 out of 3 years, is not worth. What more if you are just getting FD rates. Pay all kind of fees only to get FD rates. puke.gif

I planned to aim around 2xth until end of each month.
Ya I know, sometimes I forgot hehe or I found and replied those post at "different timing".
Asx fp still the best for me, but many ppl preferred diversification. I don't have so much bullets, so only focus on fd + fp asx pusingx2 enough.. haha
*
If you are still putting FD better lock now. Me, I am removing all my FDs rclxms.gif Inflation in Malaysia is just too high cry.gif

Ya lo, no point for me to lock in the money and gonna wait until next year's April to get the full interest..

might go to top up later, depends on available units.. gonna surrender the last and only fd.

How nice *sarcastic* banks WILL PENALISE you for uplifting early. whistling.gif

I don't think so. Just try uplifting and see if they deduct your principal. If they don't deduct, you are very lucky. biggrin.gif

an uncle bought portfolio of PM UT for RM39k at 5 years ago, and guess what?
He received RM38k when he update his fund balance, and he is not allowed to sell it by today? The bank ask him to wait their manager come back...

the dividends of fp asx automatically "reinvested to top up the same fund" if we didn't cash it out? I means compounding automatically? No need manually to do it right?
*
Yes. Provided SC approved. Or else, they will issue cheque/bnak in the money to you.

ASW have been c/f its reserves from 1996 to 2015 or 19 years
During 19 years, it went thru 1997/98 n 2007/08 crisis n still stand Tall
Wat say u?  hmm.gif

QUOTE(AIYH @ Nov 2 2016, 05:39 PM)
Now I understand smile.gif

Only their VP has balance sheet (statement of financial position right?).

FP really lack that  sweat.gif

But the 'reserve' info can't be obtained/deduced from P&L or comprehensive income or cash flow statement?
*
Something I found. Anyway, will email them tonight and ask how their reserves work. tongue.gif

If you have access to all the report, you can see how much their total reserves over the years.

Don't post ASX stuff in FSM or else you will kena bomb. sad.gif anyway it's OT.

I stick with results. I agreee with guy3288. No point buying UT funds if you cannot even out outperform FD/ASX FP.
