Now I'm really looking forward to the weekend. Was going to book hotels on Agoda, but scratching my head over which card to use. PBB VS is my usual go-to for online bookings, but CB is capped at RM50. With MBB Amex, I'll get the 50 + 5TP .

I'm going to apply for another CL increase when I get my March payslip. Now MBB cards are at the top of my list because of the 0% BT plus the 5% cashback.

Mine was increased by 20% on 1 Jan, and got decent bonus in Feb, so I'm hoping that my 3 months payslips will justify a higher CL, even though my last increase request was in Oct / Nov last year. My current CL is used up by BT and I'm planning to cancel my MBB VS before annual fee in May, so I need it!

When I spoke to CS about CL increase, they said they will take average of 3 months payslips, that's why they advised me to submit in March otherwise my old salary (from December) would drag down the average. I asked them also if bonus, claims and allowances are included (because I have substantial allowances and claims) and they said claims normally excluded, but recurring allowances may be included, depending on their CL Department's assessment. They didn't answer my question about bonus though, as I was speaking to general CS and not the CL.

how much CL do you think they will approved based on salary ?
i just got my CL increment request rejected by pbb, which i suspect due to my recent BT with them. possible?

Actually what is the reason ppl use BT? Can get cashback?

Throw in your rental income if you have. I just scanned the tenancy agreement for them together with my application to upgrade for plat card (also for CL increase) and i got a 300% increase a few days back.

Now I wonder should I move all my BT to the plat and cancel the gold or just leave the BT with my old card.

Hi guys I just saw that the 5% cash back is finally back, however I read the FAQ saying its valid on retail transaction only, does this means online transactions like Agoda doesn't count?

I just call cs, and was informed that overseas transactions will incur 2.5% charge for amex.

This means I'll only get 2.5% cb when I use it on weekends.

I also just got the SMS. So a recap, any spend with Amex on Sat/Sunday would be 5% cash back cap at RM50 ? Like any groceries, bills also ?

to me, finance charge can be neglected, I always pay on time, sometime even pay more and have balance credit in card acc
Been using various cc for 6 years, never ever let bank charge me single cent of interest.
In the other way, I get few hundred up to 1k of cash rebate from cc each year...

me too, prefer in this way, pay more PCB rather that pay to gov when declaration.

That's why I am considering to cancel both of my auto-billing and pay with AMEX card to enjoy 5% CB too! So I guess this is more beneficial than my current auto-billing subscription I suppose?

And anyone who can confirm both bills can be paid via AMEX online? TM & Astro.

Is pumping petrol consider as retail spending which entitle for 5% CB?

Hello all, I just paid my ptptn using AMEX via PTPTN portal. (Saja testing got rebate or not )
Surprisingly no service charge at all.
My monthly repayment is RM 180, but somehow I can't pay more eg. RM200, otherwise the web will show error and not proceed.
Only if I click RM180 by default only can proceed to payment page.

Guys, anyone facing this issue also??
