is there any apparent benefit between gold and platinum apart from a possible increased credit limit?

No. You cannot pay a housing loan/car loan with credit card.

Can i say
Transaction date : The date you use your cc.
Posting date : The date bank process the transaction.
And posting date can be same or later date from transaction date.
Correct?
*
Posting date is the date your merchant posts your transaction.
Yes, can be same or later.

Why posting date is important on last few days of the month? For e.g. 28th Feb is a Sunday and transaction is only posted on 1st March on Monday.
You will still get cash back as the transaction date is on weekend but it will not calculated under your Feb cash back, it will be included in your March cash back.

Weekdays? You kinda can forget about this. laugh.gif
Announcement is already out for this but full T&C is not yet out. Hopefully it reinstated back what it has removed back in August 2015.

Just wondering since there is a possibility that Maybank will reinstate 5% weekend cash back this month: previously, what was the T&C for the cash back? Any transactions on weekend is eligible for the cash back? Even transactions like insurance, phone bill, and TNB bill? If so, then this was a really good card.
*
Yes, everything. Now don't know, less than 10 days to find out.

I'm really surprised that the level of acceptance for AmEx cards in Mumbai is much higher compared to KL. Every single shop that I went which accepts CC will accept AmEx.

Just in time for the return of 5% weekend cash back while I'm here until 31st March. icon_idea.gif

hello guys, Maybank rejected my application for Maybank 2 Gold Card (this could be my 1st CC , but rejected ==).

Am I allowed to apply again with more supporting documents ?

i thought i can successfully get the CC with my 6 months salary from company A, unfortunately they rejected.
But actually i got business income,  can i just provide them Form B which i submitted to LHDN?

what is so good to go for plantinium instead of gold ? the credit limit for gold card is normally 5K or what ???
*
Any PTPTN outstanding? Check your CCRIS?

Not necessary 5k. They gave me 6k back in 2011 when I was still a fresh grad, then now almost 5x. In between, I asked for CL increase once. Others were all given by them when I upgraded my cards.
