Yes. Until 31st Dec 2016 and applicable for hotel stay until end of March next year.
Maybankard 2 AMEX. Instant 7% rebate (room rate only) + 5x TP (at least 1.25% value).
**post edited to change the incorrect TP value

But try comparing the MBB Agoda website with mobile app as there can be price differences even after 7%.

Also, if you can wait, maybe book on first weekend of November so you can get the 5% weekend cashback. Highly likely to get compared to if you book during last weekend of October.

i use shopback website, but i dont see any reduction when i key in my amex details. must i go thru mbb website to get 7%? can i get agoda 7% + amex 7%?

Don't fall for the trick. All the banks are same. If you compare, they tend to list the price higher if you're booking through agoda/Maybank. Tried agoda/ambank also same. In the end, I book through the hotel directly.

generally, the best prices are when you book directly with the hotel....they don't have to give commission, and pass the benefit directly to you...

but it isn't always the case, and in some instances, the cash back/extra points/airmiles are on top of the same prices...i always check and see....

however, i can understand those on business/company account who might still book a higher price and pocket the cash back....

I try using that link but the price seem more expensive than using apps. The hotel i look at using that maybank link is RM 20+ more expensive than using apps.

I didn't check out yet, just surveying for better deals 😂

That was exactly my experience and when I Googled it, I discovered loads of people advising against using the cc page, as the app has better deals.

Seeking help and advise.

I'm holding this Maybank Platinum cards. I am a heavy user and no debt at all. Every month settle cantik. I've been using this card since 2 yrs ago and over hundred of thousand spending accumulated.

Now, I want to increase my credit limit but they refuse it. I don't see a reason they could reject me, unless they blame me to use a lot of AMEX.

Last 2 weeks I called them up to increase my credit limit and they told will replied me thru sms, no matter approved or rejected. Till today I need to call up and they told me was rejected. No reason given, just rejected.

The reason I want to increase is just a temporary due to I need to spend on AMEX, maybe this is the reason why they reject me. My current credit limit is RM50k and I want a temporary increase to Rm65k due to my spending need this amount.

Let say I can't do anything now since they hv rejected me, can I just deposit RM15k into my AMEX account and then purchase up to RM65k? Is there anyway I can appeal? I really need to use that amount of money.

Thanks.

How is it possible that I have 4 Maybank 2 cards (2 platinum + 2 gold) now?
I requested for credit limit increase during the time when MBB is changing all cards for their customers due to the 6 digit pin requirement.

Hence I received 2 platinum cards as my credit limit application successful, and a few days later 2 gold cards were sent to my house.
They clearly told me that the 2 gold cards will be automatically canceled if you have platinum…
It’s been so many months and I still see all 4 cards in my maybank 2 u @@

My suggestion:

- If you want to appeal, the best way would be to do so in writing (e-mail) and request that they reconsider your temporary credit limit increase. Perhaps specify the duration and reason to strengthen your case.

- Has your salary increased since they granted you the RM50k credit limit? If so, I suggest you submit recent income documents together with your appeal. This would probably be the best way to convince them. I recently requested a permanent CL increase (supported by income documents) and this was processed within 1 day.

As an indicator, they gave me RM10k although my salary only increased by RM2k per month since the last CL revision a year ago.

Did you apply for a temporary CL increase or permanent? Temporary should be easily approved, especially given the reason to use overseas or for medical bills. Else you may deposit that RM15k into your account, but not through M2U as it will reject any advance payment.

How do you request it? By email or call up? If by email, could you please share the email address to me?

Frankly speaking, I am confidence that I have no problem to increase my credit limit due to I am holding others 2 bank cards which they give me credit limit up to 100k, the thing is both of that cards no one is AMEX.

Supporting documents from my side is not a problem at all.

Email: mbbcardservices@maybank.com.my - They increased my limit within a day.

In my experience, MBB offer quite prudent CLs compared to other banks. MBB was my first CC, and also the bank where my salary is credited, but they gave me THE LOWEST CL, even though I've been gradually increasing it over the years.

I've got 3 CCs with RM150-200k CL, but MBB still below RM100k.
