Put your SIM into iPhone 6 and above, wait for DiGi VoLTE activation SMS. Then remove from iPhone and put into your favorite VoLTE enabled phone. Hope you enjoy  biggrin.gif

Hello.

I have a Digi Campus sim which by now you could guess I have owned for a very long time. Never had to change it, until now. I'm forced to replace it with a nano-sim card. I would have to change my plan of course but I would like to keep my number. Is it only really doable through a Digi Centre, or can any small Digi store do this? The nearest Digi Centre is a 40 minute drive so I'd save the hassle and fuel if I can.

Thank you.  smile.gif

What do you mean by small Digi stores? Digi store express can do it, but those store owned by other people that sells Digi SIM card might not be able to do it.

Can any VoLTE sifu please shed somelight please. Is this tell-tale signs of VoLTE?

I woke up from my nap and saw this,
Attached Image

Restarted my phone and it returned but to how it usually is,
Attached Image

VoLTE options did not appear on my phone, calling voicemail (didn't call anyone so that i won't annoy them lol) still reverted me to 3G.
The reason I thought it was VoLTE is because line 13 and 14 shows NB_AMR which is one of the audio codec used by VoLTE.

EDIT : It seems that making a phone call cause it to go back to the first screenshot, hmm.gif

Nope, volte using hd codec with is AMR-WB or G722
Which has 12.65kbps for malaysia telco.

Ur one is AMR-NB and using 12.2kbps bandwidth. This is for 3G or 2G codec...

Guys...I am planning to switch over to Digi PostPaid 80 from MaxisOne 128...getting fed-up of the extra $$$ spend topping up after finishing the 10GB data given. sweat.gif

How's the coverage in the following areas?

Taman Sri Endah, Sri Petaling
Menara LGB, TTDI

Any other advice given is also much appreciated. I am using a S6 Edge.

Thanks in advance. icon_rolleyes.gif

This you should ask sifu prosibu to check for cell tower nearby. According to site, ur taman should be covered. It shows strong 4G+ coverage when indoors is chosen. For Menara LGB you might need to test it out yourself as it is a tall building. Always get a prepaid to test it out or ask your colleagues.

Red arrow = 2600Mhz
Green arrow = 1800Mhz

Sri Petaling.. the red circle one has bad coverage (2/3/4G)

TTDI .... seems OK hor  biggrin.gif

Normally one site got 3 antennas....
so u can see many arrow in the map
2600Mhz penetrates shorter so i draw with red and  short arrow
1800Mhz penetrates further so i draw with green and long arrow

???
the origin of the arrow is the tower location

???
is this wat you confusing?  blink.gif

Any downside to using volte before it officially launches for my phone?

I tried the most tricky part, driving from old klang road to DiGi HQ
and handover from VoLTE to 3G.

Both also looks fine. So I dun think normal user should need other service biggrin.gif
But But.... call to digi customer service will drop u to 3G. And i complaining this d..  bangwall.gif

Ok, so i got VoLTE enabled for my account and can be seen ubder "My Subscriptions" in the myDigi app. However, phone cannot make VoLTE calls at all. I am using S7 Edge, Malaysia set.

For Android, you have to make sure you got HD or VoLTE icon on top right of your screen. Else, that mean your phone firmware is not supported (YET).
*
Do you know when will they launch VoLTE for the S7 Edge? It should be more than capable of supporting VoLTE and it probably is one of the most famous Android flagships.
