QUOTE(usmanjailani @ Oct 20 2016, 02:10 PM) someone just reported the reply u mention..not sure why.. to make this clear, this is a sponsored FB ads showing in my timeline..i just bump in here to ask if anyone heard about this and if it legit or ghost thats all..it's not me promoting to buy it from me..haha.. ya, it usually it shoud be in a proper packaging with it's "basic 101" and the sim card but not sure about the owner of the ads.. Of course it's illegal. It's not on Digi's website and it's not advertised in Digi outlets. This opens the network to abuse and genuine users suffer. Please stop even mentioning this.

Yay, my home area has finally got LTE-A blanket coverage, even indoors, according to Digi's coverage map. Unfortunately I don't have a LTE-A device to confirm. So I'll be on the lookout for a decently priced LTE-A USB modem. Right now all the modems I see are a bit too expensive (>RM300). Fingers crossed the price will come down in 2017.

QUOTE(jack2001 @ Oct 21 2016, 03:38 PM) Should be the same across all devices. Oneplus 3 has all the bands required for Digi's network, so it is up to your it's radio performance and there cell tower signal strength and wall penetration. Because I read somewhere its 4G reception is not as good as Samsung phones', especially indoors.

So other than Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, all the other phones cannot take advantage of Digi's LTE-A?
And Digi says nothing about this?

On my Galaxy S4, I managed > 50 Mbps on the Maxis network but in the OpenSignal app. On fast.com, can't get it beyond 15 Mbps, usually under 10 Mbps.

QUOTE(AMG2016 @ Oct 27 2016, 07:07 PM) What is the purpose of VoLTE when calling is free on the line itself? Wont VoLTE consume my data? With the old circuit switched voice calls over 2G and 3G, a dedicated bandwidth is reserved for the call until it is ended. With packet switched voice calls like VoLTE, there is no dedicated bandwidth reserved for the call. So packet switched calls are the future because they use the bandwidth spectrum more efficiently. You do raise a point about VoLTE calls eating into your data quota. My opinion is that they should not but I'm not sure what Digi's official word on this is.

QUOTE(jayko @ Oct 28 2016, 01:25 PM) the last i checked, only Digi has VoLTE operational, I didn't see any Maxis or Celcom implemented VoLTE, but I do saw YES claimed they have VoLTE, maybe your friend is field testing Maxis and Celcom? so far I think VoLTE Interconnect between telcos is not possible. It can be VoLTE at Digi's end, but not necessarily at the other end. So a caller on Digi can still make the call over 4G+ regardless of what technology the other end is using, even landlines. QUOTE(kroul2 @ Oct 28 2016, 07:52 PM) You should show off 4G+ though. Latest 4G(or actually LTE) revisions(in this case, LTE-A) requires newer phones  S7 Edge not newer phone, meh? (You should read first before simply posting the obvious.) This post has been edited by tympg: Oct 28 2016, 08:12 PM

QUOTE(kroul2 @ Oct 28 2016, 08:12 PM) You see, I didn't say anything about S7 edge. My apologies for any misunderstanding You didn't say, but the person who you were replying to did. Don't simply post for the sake of posting.

QUOTE(kroul2 @ Oct 28 2016, 08:19 PM) So, is it wrong to say people will find it more cool to see you having 4G+(LTE-A) on their phone? You were giving advice stating the obvious. Jack2001 was complaining that on his S7, 4G+ doesn't show up on the Digi network. Your post doesn't add anything useful to the discussion.

QUOTE(V3000 @ Oct 29 2016, 03:00 PM) But im not on their Basic Internet connection.. Now using free LTE weekend data but voip and coc all stucked. Main data still left 2.76GB QUOTE(prosibu @ Oct 29 2016, 04:28 PM) The statement state that free internet .... Aren't ur free LTE weekend is considered free internet??? That section was talking about the "FREE Basic Internet and Free Social" internet so it shouldn't have been about the Free Weekend LTE. To me this seems like Digi is subtly trying to get rid of all those subscribers still holding on to the Smart Prepaid of May 2016.

QUOTE(Pegasus88 @ Nov 4 2016, 04:01 PM) Hello ppl, I just port in to Digi from Umobile this afternoon. I'm very confuse with with Digi prepaid. Went to Digi store and told them I want to switch to Digi prepaid. After i got the nano sim card and they teach me how to do the Super Long Life plan thats it. So Which prepaid plan am i having now ? Should be Digi Best Prepaid 2016. To confirm, type *126# and then press CALL. You should get the plan name and the validity end date.

Can incoming calls over VoLTE be blocked from certain numbers the same way as I can do now with regular circuit-switched calls?
VoLTE calls are using the same dialer, right?

Dammit! I was waiting for my Celcom broadband contract to end before taking up Digi Broadband 85 (15GB + 15GB 2-8am). Now all my plans spoiled. Why are Digi & Maxis forcing all this "free" streaming on people with no desire to watch this much video?
Likely my next broadband plan is going to be a normal postpaid phone plan.
