It seems like you've experience with refund before, will the process take long? If you know.
*
There's a forumer opted for refund not long ago. IINM, it took about approximately one month for refund.

Consider this as the latest non-official announcement from Samsung, since sammobile is their partner.

Samsung is adjusting Galaxy Note 7 production volume to conduct detailed inspections

probably there will be ppl who want only official statement from Samsung and not anything else...
If that's the case, they can always go to sammobile site. It's Samsung partner. Anything new from Samsung, they would be released in that site.

So ya, although there's many reports with the replacement phones having problems, Samsung so far has been very quiet simply because they are in shit-hit-the-fan situation wondering how to deal with it without losing a tonne more of money and brand reputation.

Hi Note7 User,

Anyone still having 1st batch unit that have the battery icon turn to green now?
I notice the 2nd batch unit also white color until the software been update......
feel fishy ....
*
Last few days, there's a forumer who have the exact same problem like yours. According to him, he already sent the phone to SC and they said they couldn't help. I suggested him to ask Samsung for an exchange. He said he will try. No news from him since then though.

I did call the Samsung SC 1800 , the guy said it is normal and pass me to another team to verify the Note 7 which is safe unit....
*
Yes it is. According to that forumer I mentioned, he also got the same result. But he was unsatisfied with it and he said it will be troublesome for him because he can't prove his phone is safe especially if he wants to take flight. That's how he said. Of course, you can still use it eventhough there's no green battery icon. I guess at the end, it's all up to your own decision. Are you OK with the white battery icon? If ok, then just ignore it and keep using it. If you are not ok, then keep complaining to Samsung and say you have the rights to get the correct vesion since Samsung did promise all new units should be having the green battery icon. It depedns on whether you are willing to accept that flaw or not from Samsung.

Is there any problems with batches made in Korea? It seems China batch not affected as much as Korea made batch. And our batch made in Vietnam. And no cases so far. So maybe less problems?
*
Korea batch so far got 3 cases. As for China batch, they got about 5-6 cases. But China batch is not replacement units. So it's different story to tell. And as for our Malaysia batch, so far no reports.

Noone can confirm the halt. According to sammobile, it just reduce production while checking the safety, and it might call for second recall..
*
Ya. So far the "official explanation" is, no one can confirm, and no one can deny either.

Can someone list down the phone that is on par with Note 7 or better than Note 7 that available on sale in Malaysia right now? Need to hunt for new phone again. Streesed  doh.gif
*
Sadly to say, none, bro. Since you said available on sale in Malaysia, there's really not much choices out there. Some said it's iPhone 7, but that's in different system, so it's really up to you. Other than that, Oneplus 3 is the closest in term of performance.

so... is this thread still going to talk about using the phone naked, which case to buy...? or...? or is it now that you finally accept, everyone else can talk about what they have been talking about -- note7 fire risk?
*
Wait for a bit bro. Later sure got some forumers will say it's none of our business, said we are spreading fake/negative news, said we are talking rubbish until so many pages, etc..

Now, Samsung official statement is there, instructions been given. Those are facts. If they still cannot accept, if they still say we are nonsence, then it's their problem.

at this rate... unlikely they will redo note7. then again, really depends on the situation and what is the cause.
*
If Samsung still want to redo Note 7, first thing they have to do is to let the people know exactly what's the root cause of all these mess up. Open and transparent. No more excuses. Without doing this, people won't buy it anymore no matter how hard they push the sales. People will not be able to bear with 3rd recall or 4th recall anymore. Samsung should not test the limit and patience of their loyal customers.

How about Axon 7?
*
Based on the feedbacks in Axon 7 thread, the software is half baked, some issues here and there, overall still a good phone for daily driver. but of course, still not up to the standard of Note 7. Most likely, it will be a little dissapointment if you switch from Note 7 to Axon 7.

Let see...most people go for Note 7 because of the S-Pen, camera, screen resolution, IP68, edge screen, larger battery, fast charging. Choose which one is the most important to you. And then decide to change to which phone..

1. S-Pen : Note 5
2. Camera: S7/S7 Edge, Oneplus 3, Nexus 6P, LG V20
3. Screen resolution (if prefer Amoled): S7/S7 edge, Nexus 6P
4. IP68: S7/S7 edge
5. Edge screen: S7 edge
5. Larger battery: S7 edge
6. Larger screen: Note 5, Mate 8, LG V20, Nexus 6P
7. Fast charging: S7/S7 edge, Oneplus 3

For upcoming flagship phone before the end of this year: Huawei Mate 9 (this one I think will be the closest thing to Note 7 minus the S-Pen)

Or else, you can try Iphone 7.

Just my 2 cents.

Just wondering... is the Note 7 the first and only Samsung phone to use these defective batteries? I find it dubious that no other Samsung models are using these batteries... no other models seem to be having any battery issues whatsoever? Why can't they just use back the supplier which supplies batteries to its S7?

Perhaps the issue is with some technical error or another component in the phone.
*
Obviously the problem is not on the battery. It's something else that cause the battery explode.

It's the same supplier, but literally it's different battery as it's 3,500 and it's more compact.
*
Yes it is. But since Samsung already claimed that the battery on the replacement units are safe, and now the issue is still happening, then it could only mean that either Samsung was lying, or they don't know at all what's the root cause of this.
